Let me escape.
"No." they say.
I plead with every dying moment.
Why?
"We need you." they plead back.
I squeeze my eyes shut.
Perhaps my sight will drown out their pleas.
I suck in air that isn't quite there.
Have I lost my mind?
"We are your mind." they explain.
I flutter my eyes wide.
I stare into the dark abyss.
I fall.
Far.
Farther.
Forever.
They scream.
"Trust us. We are all you have."
I shut my eyes once more.
And trust as I fall.
For this trust fall is all that I will ever have.
