"You literally pushed her off the swing?" Alessia said in between laughter, with a raised eyebrow.
"Don't judge, okay?" I defended myself with a loose smile. "I waited longer to be on that swing set, and it was a really warm day. The heat just got to me..."
She chuckled at my shy expression. "That makes total sense now. Thank you for that obviously suitable reason."
I rolled my eyes at her sarcasm. "Just because I'm sarcastic, doesn't mean you have to be, too."
She laughed again, and looked down to her scrapbook. We had spent the last hour talking and getting to know each other better, and I discovered that she's a pretty chill person, with a playful over-confident mannerism, which definitely explained her constant flirting she kept doing with me. I had gotten used to it by now however, and found that she's actually really good company. Now we're going through her old scrapbooks that contain some of her own photographs she's taken. One of the photos was of an empty swing set in a park, and that's how I got onto the story of my younger self pushing a child of the swing.
"So what others have you done?" I asked, glancing down at her scrapbook. "I've seen nature, child-play, human form... am I missing any?"
She shook her head and flipped her scrapbook close, smiling at me. "Nope, that's it. That's all I've done so far. I'm currently working on one, but it's a surprise. I'll show you when it's complete."
I raised an eyebrow. "Promise?"
She laughed and used her finger to draw a cross on her chest. "Cross my heart, hope to die."
I chuckled at her serious expression and we both ended up laughing at nothing. It was one of those moments that you learn to make the most of, even if it doesn't make sense when you look back at it. However, my laughing calmed down when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, several times.
"One second." I smiled her way before pulling out my phone and checking who texted. There were quite a few texts from the girls, making me check the time, only to realise that it was twelve-ish.

I laughed at their conversation and instantly formed a response.

Once I put my phone away, I noticed Alessia watching me with amusement. "You okay over there?"
"What are you talking about?"
