The sound of people screaming and machinery being used filled my ears, and I grinned at the sight of the magnificent park before me. It was huge! Only on entrance, I could see the amount of cool rides they had, and that was promising because if that was only what I could see, I could only imagine what else was here.
"...and remember to keep these with you at all times," Ally instructed, and I looked to her to see her handing out some passes to us all. Crap, was she speaking this whole time?
"Um, what are they?" I asked as she handed me mine.
Camila chuckled. "Were you even listening to us when we walked in, Y/N?"
I smiled sheepishly, and they knew what that meant. I saw them roll their eyes, but they had amused smiles on their lips, making me know that they weren't annoyed or anything because I ignored them. To be fair, I was too busy being awestruck at how amazing this park was.
"It's a fast track pass," Lauren explained. "It basically allows you to cut the queue and go into a smaller one, therefore allowing you to go on the ride quicker."
I remembered something like that back at Alton Towers, though I had never actually had one because they were a bit too much money for a fifteen year old girl to afford.
"Okay, gotcha." I nodded my head obediently, pocketing the pass. "Thanks for getting them. I don't know about over here, but back in England, they are quite a price."
Lauren waved me off dismissively. "Don't worry about prices, Y/N. It's your birthday, not a bank meeting. We just want you to enjoy yourself."
I smiled appreciatively. "Thank you."
She returned the smile and her green eyes caught the sun, making them a kaleidoscope of green's, blue's, and gold's that I was drawn to. I found it hard to look away, but I knew I had to if I were to avoid another awkward silence between us.
"So, who do I get to go around with first?" I asked, looking between them all.
No one responded, so Ally volunteered by stepping beside me and smiling graciously. "I don't mind."
"Okay, I'll go with Lauser so I can force her onto the rides," Dinah said with a smirk, wrapping an arm around Lauren's shoulders.
"Normila for the win," Camila quickly said to Dinah, taking Normani by surprise and jumping up into a koala hug.
Normani quickly caught her legs and laughed. "Okay. We'll meet by the food court in an hour. Keep your phones on just in case you come late or something."
We all nodded and went our separate ways with our partners. Ally and I began walking, without really speaking, but it was a pretty comfortable silence so I was okay with it. My mind was full of thoughts, anyway. I was obviously freakin' lucky to be able to spend a day with Fifth Harmony on my seventeenth birthday, but I couldn't help but wonder what it would have been like if it were just Lauren and I. I didn't understand why she was so against the thought of us two. It's not like it was going to happen, so why was she so defensive?
"You okay over there?" Ally asked, bringing me back to reality. I looked to my left and saw her smiling, but a glaze of concern was covering her expression. She cared about me a lot and I was so grateful for it.
