*** there are two new characters (it's a bit obvious who lol), but I'm just letting you know that I've changed their age for the story :) ***

"I just realised that I never actually ask you about your time at college," I said into my phone as I swiped my ID card across the scanner. "I just rant to you about my nonexistent love life."

Y/BF/N's laughter echoed through the speaker as she said, "Because hearing about how my best friend and Lauren Jauregui could possibly get together is way more interesting than me having to wake up at five in the morning to make sure I look awesome for the day at college."

I chuckled as I headed to the cafeteria where Alessia told me to meet her. "Speaking of that, how are you so lively at this time? I thought you hated waking up early."

She didn't respond, and that's when I realised that she said she was waking up early to make an effort. And the only time she made an effort was when...

"You like someone!" I shouted with realisation, a little too loud as I gained a few odd locks off surrounding people, but I ignored them and spoke quieter this time. "You like someone, don't you, Y/BF/N?"

She hesitated before saying, "No, I don't, Y/N. Why would you think that? What made you say that? Do I give off that impression? Do I sound like I like someone? Do I–"

"Yeah, you like someone," I stated, stopping by the cafeteria door as I still wanted to talk to Y/BF/N. "I can tell that you're lying because you're asking loads of questions and that's what you do when you lie."

"What? I do not!" she defended.  "Why would you say that, Y/N? How am I asking questions?"

"You're doing it again, love." I laughed. "But seriously, Y/BF/N. Who do you like? Is he cute?"

"Y/NNNNN," she whined like a child. "Stop ittttttttt."

"Fine, fine," I said with a laugh. "But try not to blurt it out to certain people. They may be jealous." I smirked to myself, Alessia instantly popping in my mind.

I could practically hear the eye roll she was doing. "Certain people such as...?" she asked, yet knowing who I was referring to.

"Maybe a certain curly-haired Canadian who has the hots for you...?" I laughed as she groaned at the mention of Alessia.

"Key word being for me, not the other way around," she said, matter-of-factly. "She needs to get a hint. I mean, Jake is way less annoying than she is."

"Aha! So he's called Jake!" I said with satisfaction, an amused smile on my lips. "And trust me. She isn't giving up. Maybe you should lighten up a bit, though. She's actually a really lovely girl, Y/BF/N."

"Yeah, yeah, well I gotta get ready before this lovely girl finds out I'm awake by hearing me on the phone with you. I'll text you later?"

I nodded, despite her being unable to see me. "Okay. See ya, Y/BF/N."

"Bye!"

I hung up and headed into the cafeteria, where I saw Alessia standing by a table that had two other girls occupying it. A brunette and blonde. I assumed they were the girls that Alessia was talking about not long ago. Speaking of Alessia. She noticed me as soon as I walked in, and waved me over to their table with a bright smile. She was so cute, aw.

"Hey, Y/N!" she said excitedly, giving me a hug. "You excited for today?!"

It's safe for me to mention that today is my first day at my aunt's photography place – like, my first official day. Where other 'students' come in and we actually learn instead of myself and Alessia just messing around in our free time.
