It's always you I go back to; I know it's danger. What am I to do?
Kirstie have always told herself to stop this, but she always found herself going back and falling down to Mitch. He seemed to catch her, but Jeremy would catch her as well, correct?
She doesn't know. All her life, she's been pondering of how to let Mitch go, but she can't seem to find a way. Well, maybe Jeremy was one of her options.
But she would never treat Jeremy like that, he wouldn't be just an option.
She came back to Jeremy now, that's what matters to her currently.
She sneakily climbed to their room, as if she's been back to the moments when she went home to her parents late because of Mitch.
She changed her clothes quietly and went beside Jeremy. He was snoring a bit which was a good sign, because that means he's in a deep sleep.
She went on his opposite side where she can look at his face.
He looked very peaceful, but why is there something bugging her? She kissed his nose then he put his arm on her, hugging her. She hugged him back, resting her forehead on his chest.
"I love you Jeremy." She whispered and drifted to sleep.
That didn't end there.
She dreamt of what she could be with Mitch. She dreamt of a little girl, carried by what seemingly Mitch's figure. She saw a garden with herself swinging, Mitch and the little girl playing around.
The giggles from the both people she watches sounded so precious for her. Especially when Mitch smiled, making her see those remarkable teeth which looked like a vampire's teeth.
She felt a smile crept on her mouth.
"Kirstie?" Jeremy woke her up. "Rise up, my darling sunshine!"
For some reason, she got a little bit of annoyed by Jeremy's chirpy attitude this day. He never annoyed her, so she just hid it because it's not for her to be annoyed of him.
"Good morning, sunshine." Kirstie smiled, seeing her Olaf running to her with a smile.
The day was peaceful, except for the fact that she's pondering on how to meet with Mitch again. She doesn't know the reason but, it always excites her. Maybe because of the thrill, because most of stories like this are like Sherlock versus his logical cases. Being the hiding foxes against hunters is more of a good idea to feel a bit risky.
When Kirstie got up of the bed, she faced the window, having Jeremy's arms around her hips, "I can never let you go."
Kirstie turned around, still got Jeremy's hands over her hips. She stared at his eyes and how they looked worried, with his brows knitting each other.
"I love you so much." He said. "I'm worried, do you need a daily reminder?"
Kirstie only laughed, like she never knew what he meant; because he may have noticed already that every night, she would go anywhere else, either to a friend or to the store to buy something.
She smiled innocently, trying to conceal that Mitch is still behind this.
"I don't need any reminder." Kirstie said. "I just need you by my side and I don't want you to leave."
As long as she wants me here. Jeremy thought.
Kirstie, in the inside, is killing some parts of her. Her bones feel like cracking and her organs feel like it are twisted. This lie is only going to be bigger.
She doesn't worry about cheating, what she cares about is how precious Jeremy have became to her. Jeremy has been a big chunk of her life, that when the time comes she needs to take him off, she'll never recover a part of her.
It's like having the past Mitch then trying to wash him off her fate, and it was hard. It was like building a structure without cement. It's like Jeremy has become her glue, the one to fix her. Imagining him to leave is more unbearable than seeing her dog Olaf missing by her sight.
Maybe she can't easily just let go. Why does it have to be hard, though?
