Thirty One

Joe spent the rest of the day with Emily and Elliot. As himself. There were only two personalities that they know of at the moment and Matt seemed to be staying away. Joey had come back the following morning and stayed for about an hour which was the longest any personality had stayed Emily keeping a close eye on him. She dropped him off at Demi's house only leaving when she knew he was in the house and had waved to Demi.

"Joey came for an hour, we figured out he likes dinosaurs." Joe rolled his eyes making Demi laugh taking hold of both his hands.

"Are you okay though?" Demi questioned Joe nodding his head.

"I'm getting there, I still don't trust myself around Elliot though." Joe admitted, he didn't want to hurt him in anyway.

"I think that's something you'll have to gradually trust yourself to do," Demi assured him leaning up pecking his lips gently. "It will come with time."

"It's just until I know what personalities I do have, anything could come up at the moment." Joe stated squeezing her hands gently.

"When is your appointment?"

"At six, you want to come again?" Demi smiled nodding her head squealing as he lifted her up in his arms but she settled down a smile on her face as he led them both into the living room being careful as he set her down on the couch. He didn't want to harm his son or daughter.

"Joey!" Kean exclaimed throwing himself at Joe who smile lifting him up hugging the young boy before setting him back down on the ground. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, sorry for scaring you." Joe took one of his hands Demi taking the other having his bag over her shoulder as they begun to walk back home where they would tell Kean that they were an item but also welcoming a baby into the world. His baby brother or sister.

"I don't get scared, I'm a big boy!" Kean exclaimed making them both laugh.

"Yes you are." Demi cooed squeezing his hand gently. Kean begun to tell them all about his day and by the time they got home he was finished. Demi fixed him up a snack and a drink before they all sat down on the couch Kean leaning against his mom.

"Joey why aren't you at work?" It was hard for them to hear the name Joey knowing it was one of his other personalities, they didn't want him to say it so much that it encouraged the personality to come out, Joe didn't want to scare him like that.

"Because I'm not very well at the moment but you don't need to worry, I'll be okay." Joe explained but reassured him. Kean was a worrier, he liked everything to stay the same and for the people around him to be okay which is why they didn't want Joe to be around him if his alters ever came out. Demi didn't think he'd cope very well.

"Mommy always makes me soup when I don't feel well, maybe mommy will make you soup." They laughed at Kean making him giggle too.

"Little man we have something to tell you," Demi stated Kean looking up at his mother as he nibbled his cookie. "Me and Joey aren't friends anymore."

"Why?!" He panicked before Demi could explained but they shushed him.

"Because we're boyfriend and girlfriend now." Joe explained.

"Oh," He begun looking at his mom again. "What does that mean?"

"It means that we're not friends, we're a little bit more then that because we both really like each other," Demi tried to explain the best she could. "But we have another little surprise."

"What?"

"You know you've been asking for a little brother or sister for ages?" Kean nodded his head not wanting to get too excited before his mom told him what was really going on. "Mommy is having a baby."
