Forty Two

"Joey!" Kean exclaimed Joe smiling as the young boy ran over to him bringing him up in his arms. He smiled as he felt Kean kiss his cheek gently. The young boy was slowly becoming his second son. He smiled as Demi entered the room kissing his lips gently before Joe put Kean back down on the floor running over to Elliot greeting him on the floor.

"How are you doing?" Demi inquired as they both sat down.

"I'm fine." Joe answered kissing her hair gently as he wrapped his arm around her Demi leaning on him watching as Kean played with Elliot, she knew he was going to become a great big brother when the time came, he was already great with Elliot, patient as he was young and didn't know how to share yet Kean handing him a toy and Elliot not giving it back to him.

"Did you have a good time yesterday?" Joe nodded his head.

"Yeah it was fun, I have my appointment with Harvey soon then we're going out for a drink again before they go home tonight. Nick has a fiancé and daughter to get back to." Joe explained his eyes on the two boys too.

"Do you think you'll be well enough to come to Colton and Willa's wedding with me next week, they told me months ago to bring a date." Demi questioned again.

"I don't know Demi, I don't want to ruin their special day." Joe answered Demi laying her hand on his thigh rubbing it gently.

"I'll talk to them and see how they feel, I can always bring you out if anything happens. Joey might be a little curious so I'll just take you to the park across the road or something." Demi replied kissing his cheek gently Joe cracking a smile.

"Emily has a date tonight, you want to come over for dinner with Kean?" Joe suggested.

"Sounds like fun, anything to see this little cutie," Demi cooed as Elliot crawled over to her lifting him up in her arms kissing his cheek gently but he soon crawled over to his father. "I see how it is, use me to give you a fuss then go over to your dad." Joe laughed a little bit but stood his son up on his legs, they were trying to simulate his legs a little bit. He was showing signs of standing up with help of something supporting him.

"It's cause he loves his daddy!" Joe cooed.

"Ah!" Elliot squealed as Joe gently pulled him forward towards him kissing his face gently. He leaned forward touching his cheeks but soon pulled away when he felt the stubble on his cheeks.

"See Elliot thinks you need to shave too." Joe rolled his eyes sitting his son back down on his bum.

"Come on Kean, we're having dinner with Joey!" Demi exclaimed late that afternoon soon seeing her son running into the room with his shoes. He sat down beginning to put them on himself but she helped him tie the laces up when he struggled.

"Mommy are we living we Joey when baby comes?" Kean inquired standing up again letting his mom put a jacket on him.

"Maybe but if not Joey will be over all the time, he will want to see your little brother or sister." Demi explained leading him out of the house locking the door behind them both.

"But then he can't play with me can he?"

"He can a little bit but both me and Joey will need to look after the baby so he or she can be big and strong like you are." Demi answered not wanting her son to feel like he would be left out when the baby came, she would make time for them both. Kean would be at kindergarten for the day though which would give her time to bond with her son or daughter. Demi helped Kean into the car makings sure he was strapped in before she climbed into the driver's side, she was about to start the car when he phone begun to ring, she answered it seeing that it was Nick.

"Demi is Joe with you? It's a long shot but we think Matt came out because he became aggressive and ran away. We can't find him." Nick panicked.
