"Baby brother or sister?" Kean questioned looking between his mom and Joe who were both nervous about his reaction but even if he were to not be so happy about the news they knew he would be a great big brother when the time came. Demi could see how nervous Joe was, his hands subconsciously playing with one another.

"We don't know yet baby boy, we'll know in eight weeks time." Demi stated.

"I want a little sister." He stated leaning against his mother again smiling as she kissed his head, he seemed to be excited but he was never a giddy boy.

"Why is that?" Joe inquired.

"Because I'd protect her," They both smiled at the young boy Demi squeezing him in her arms stroking his hair gently. "Joey want a girl?" Joe could hear the voice in his head, the name 'Joey' over and over again. He didn't want Kean to see him so got up and left quickly having enough time with the warning he had .

"Stay here Kean," Demi demanded her tone stern so he knew she was being serious. She got up quickly too darting into the kitchen confused when she didn't see Joe close by, she went to the window cracking a small smile when she saw him out on the swings a massive smile on his face. The same grin she saw when Joey had come to see them. She liked Joey, he brought the childlike behaviour out in him but she didn't want to like him knowing why Joe became like this. She wondered out into the backyard sitting down on the swing next to him but Joe didn't slow down kicking his legs backwards and forwards. "Hi Joey!"

"Hi Demi!" He grinned.

"Why did you decide to come out and say hello?" Demi inquired.

"Because Joe was scared and I came out to make him feel happy!" Demi couldn't help but smile at that, she wished all of his personalities were like this but she knew there were probably more to come and Matt was one too.

"Why do you think Joe was scared?" Demi inquired.

"Because your having baby and he doesn't want to hurt her." Demi looked over at Joe.

"Her?" She choked slightly Joe nodded his head big.

"It's a girl." He stated kicking his legs more. Demi didn't say anything else but she stayed with Joe not wanting him to come out of this alone or for him to go to Kean. A five year old shouldn't have to see this but it was going to become hard to control. At least Elliot and the new baby will grow up knowing their dad will be like this. Kean had known Joe beforehand and knew his behaviour wasn't completely normal.

It was about twenty minutes later and they were still on the swings and Joey was still present not Joe but Demi looked over at him when he stopped kicking his legs instead putting his foot down to stop the swing from swinging.

"Why am I here?" Joe inquired.

"Joey wanted to play." Demi breathed Joe nodding his head, he was used to the transformations by now but sometimes it didn't make things easier.

"Kean didn't see did he?" Joe mumbled Demi shaking her head.

"You heard his voice then left before he came," Demi replied looking over at him. "Joey thinks we're having a girl."

"How would he know?"

"I don't know but it's a little spooky." Demi admitted Joe leaning over taking hold of her hand both of them still sat on the swing .

"He has a fifty percent chance that he's right," Joe announced before standing up. "But I don't think we can keep this from Kean for too long, he must be so confused."

"Joe!" They heard a voice looking up seeing Emily rushing over with Elliot's car seat in her hand not being too quickly to make the movement harsh for the young baby. "I think I found Nick!"

"You can't have done, we've looked before." Joe murmured but Emily passed him a sheet of paper, it was a address and a phone number.

"I think it's him, it's you call if you want to speak to him." Joe just stared at the paper, this could be his one chance of getting some family back into his life.
