Thirty Three

"Maybe after this appointment, see what Harvey thinks." Joe mumbled before walking away. He needed to be by himself for a moment, it had been a while since he was completely by himself not being able to trust himself but with voices in his head he didn't know when he'd ever be by himself. Emily took his seat leaving Elliot in the car seat but at the side so he wouldn't be kicked over, he was asleep and she didn't wake to wake him up by bringing him out.

"How did you find his brother?" Demi inquired.

"As stupid as it sounds I just searched Nick Jonas into Facebook," They both laughed. "He looks a little like Joe on the profile picture so I figured I'd write the address and phone number down. I just don't want to give him false hope."

"I'm sure he'll be fine." Demi assured her.

"Why were you on the swings?"

"Joey came, we told Kean about us and the baby and apparently Joe was scared so Joey came to make him happy again." Demi breathed.

"Joey is sweet, he seems to be the personality that's coming out the most. I'm kind of nervous to see who else comes out, hopefully they will be more like Joey and not Matt."

"Maybe things will get better if Nick comes back into his life, how old was he when they were separated?" Demi inquired.

"Ten, Nick was seven. They haven't seen each other since." Demi didn't have any brothers or sisters but she couldn't imagine losing one for the majority of her life, they should have been best friends and by each other's side but they were taken away from one another.

Demi and Emily spoke a little bit leaving Joe by himself to think things over, they knew he would call Nick but it was still a lot to think about but they left it to him not wanting to push him into anything. They were about to get up and head into the house when Kean came running outside throwing himself at his mother who rubbed his back gently.

"What's wrong Kean?" Demi inquired worried.

"Joey angry and bleeding!" He exclaimed the two women looking between one another.

"Stay here with Kean and Elliot, I'll go sort it out." Emily demanded before rushing up to the house. She wasn't about to let Demi sort it out and her unborn baby be harmed. She entered the living room seeing Joe pacing around the room numerous cuts on his arms and a angry expression on his face. She knew Matt was here.

"Go away!" Joe roared at her.

"Matt what's wrong?" Emily questioned staying calm, if she panicked so would Matt and that wouldn't help anyone.

"I hate him!" He screamed.

"Hate who?"

"Joe! Do you realise all that he's done to me? Everything he put me through? He must pay!" It was hard for Emily to look past this and realise it wasn't Joe, that he would have no idea what was happening when he came out of this. She desperately wanted to sort his arms out, they looked nasty and deep. "Don't you dare bring the baby into this again."

"What did Joe do Matt?"

"When he was a little boy and went through all that abuse he created me! He didn't go through all that, I did!" He roared again.

"Calm down Matt, there is no need for this," Emily breathed surprised when his expression softened slightly. "Joe?" Joe looked down at his arms for a minute before he collapsed down onto the floor Emily rushing to his side.
