Jennifer Jareau's POV

As Spencer, Jaeden, and Hope are still sleeping, I decide to get up silently. But Spencer puts his arm around me and says, with his tired voice, keeping his eyes closed:

"Jennifer... Stay... The kids aren't awake... Please..."

I turn and I see Spencer smiling. Doing a tired smile, though.

"Okay," I smile, laying back.

I snuggle up to Spencer and I close my eyes. He kisses me on the forehead.

"I love you..."

"Me too."

I'm falling asleep when I hear Jaeden screaming and then Hope crying.

"Mommy! Mmm... Coooo!" Jaeden screams.

I sigh and I get up, heading to Jaeden and Hope room.

I go near Jaeden's bed.

"What's wrong buddy?"

"Cooooo!" He cries.

I hold him. He's pretty hot.

"Spence? Can you come here, please?"

A few seconds later, Spencer is entering the room. He's shirtless.

"What's wrong?"

"I think Jaeden has a fever. He's pretty hot. Hold him."

He takes Jaeden.

"Oh God! I don't think he has a fever, I'm sure about it."

I walk over to Hope's bed and I hold her too. She's also hot.

"Are you kidding me?" I sigh.

"What?"

"She must have a fever too..."

I get out of the room, followed by Spencer. I go to the living room. I put Hope on the couch and I turn on the TV while Spencer is putting Jaeden on the couch beside his sister.

I walk to the kitchen, I beckon Spencer to follow me.

"Okay... Spence..." I say, trying to stay calm. "The only thing I asked you when you went to the amusement park was to make sure that you and the kids washed your hands often. It was the only thing!"

"I swear we did it. We washed our hands around fifty times!"

"Okay... Then, explain to me, why are the kids sick?"

"I don't know! Why are you so...?"

"You know that Jaeden and Hope's immune systems are weaker than the average?"

"Yes, I do!"

I take a deep breath. Spencer approaches me and hugs me.

"I'm sure it's nothing. You don't even know their temperature. You should check before."

I take a step back and I look in Spencer's eyes. I smile. Then I go to the bathroom and I take the thermometer.

I go back to the living room and I hold Jaeden and Hope.

I begin by taking Jaeden's temperature: 100.6°F. Then I take Hope's one: 100.9°F.

"And?" Spencer says, walking in the living room.

"100.6°F for Jaeden and 100.9°F for Hope. Nothing to worry about for the moment. But I will check in one hour to make sure they're still under 104°F."

"I told you."
