Jennifer Jareau's POV
It's now time to have dinner and Emily has been sleeping since we left the gas station. We stop at a restaurant to have dinner and celebrate Spence's birthday. Jaeden is watching Finding Nemo while Hope is sleeping. We park at a restaurant. I put my hand on Emily's forehead to see if her temperature lowered. Putting my hand on her forehead, I wake her up.
"How're you feeling?"
"Better..." She declares, waking up.
I look at her and smile. I get out of the car and I unbuckle Jaeden who runs to his father. Then I unbuckle Hope and she keeps sleeping, her head on my shoulder. She still has her little blanket on her. I walk to the others.
"So, is it okay if we eat here?"
Everyone nods and we walk to the restaurant. We enter and a waiter asks us how many people we are.
"11 adults and 6 kids."
The waiter guides us to a table and brings us 5 chairs for the kids. Though, I decide to keep Hope on me as she's asleep. Hope is really the one who's taking the chemo harder, even though their last session was 2 weeks ago, she still feels pretty weak.
We all order what we want and I order chicken nuggets in animal shapes for Hope. I know that when she'll be awake, she'll be pretty happy to have them!
We all eat and comes the time for the dessert. A crew of waiters and waitresses arrive with a chocolate cake. Spence's favorite! We start singing along.
"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Spencer! Happy birthday to you!"
Everyone cheers. And we all eat the cake, but I take care to save a small piece of cake for Hope. We then all give our gift to Spencer and we are back on the road! Only a few hours left till we reach our camping site!
