Jennifer Jareau's POV

Garcia is snuggled into Derek's arms, worried as much as the other. Spence, on the other hand, pats his fingers frantically on his thigh while Dave patiently drinks his coffee. Joy and Kate are hiding their worries and they are entertaining the kids. Oliver doesn't understand what is happening to his mother.

Emily had quickly called me and I had urgently brought her to the hospital where she has immediately been taken in charge by the nurses. Waiting in the waiting room, I try not to get overwhelmed by anxiety. We have very little information about Emily. However, when Emily got admitted, she was ailing and could lose her baby. Emily had started losing blood around 1pm and it's now 3pm.

I look up to the mirror in the waiting room. I am really pale, my face is taking the color of a cachet of aspirin. I'm very worried for Emily and her daughter. Emily would find it difficult to get over another loss. I'm praying inwardly for the best and that Emily doesn't lose her child. I walk to a seat next to Spence and I sit because if I remain standing, even for a minute longer, I know my legs won't hold me anymore. I let my head fall into my hands. Spence, seeing my worry, passes his arm over my shoulder and hold me against him. I lift my head and I plunge it into the hollow of his neck.

"It's all my fault... I shouldn't have left..."

"Jennifer... You're not responsible for it. It probably would've happened even if you had been there."

"But I could've noticed that something was wrong... I could've intervened faster..."

I feel a few tears flowing on my cheeks. Spence notices it and holds me tighter against him to comfort me.

"Shh... It's not your fault, Jennifer. You've done everything you could."

A few minutes later, a doctor enters the room. Everybody stands up.

"How is she?" I ask, wiping my last tears away.

"She's fine, but she is very tired, which is normal given to the amount of blood she lost. Your friend almost lost the baby, but fortunately, we've been able to stop the hemorrhage on time. It is absolutely necessary to avoid any stress, it could trigger contractions. It was because of the stress that she almost lost the baby, but I think that the stress was triggered by the blood, which triggered contractions. But the main cause of the bleeding is an old scar which opened because of the weight of the baby. We closed the wound as we could, but it's not perfect because of her pregnancy. It is more a 'pending' before she gives birth. This is why it is important that she rests and that she remains bedridden 23 hours a day. The hour when she is allowed to stand is only to take a bath, go to the toilet and eat. But I recommend that she eats in bed if possible. I count on you to watch over her, and if you see she has any pain, even to her little finger, you bring her to the hospital," the doctor declares.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of her. Can I see her?" I ask, ignoring the presence of the others.

"Of course. Rome 742," the doctor indicates.

So, I go to the room where Emily is, leaving the others behind. I knock once on the door frame before entering without even letting Emily giving me permission. When she sees me, she cannot help but smile. She is happy to see me and, once again, she needs me. I approach her and I lay a soft friendly kiss on her forehead before taking a seat on the edge of her hospital bed.

"You know you scared the hell out of us?"

"I know... I'm sorry..."

"Don't be, Em'. It's not your fault. The essential is that both of you, you and the baby, are fine."

"What if I had lost her...?"

"But you didn't, so don't worry anymore. Listen, we will go back at your place. I took some time off for an indefinite period and I will take care of you."

"JJ... You've already done so much for me. You're not obligated, you know?"

"Emily, I know I'm not obligated, but it'll make me happy to help you. I will ask Spence to bring me a few things and I will settle at your place till the end of your pregnancy. Anyway, I'm sure it'll make the others happy to take my place when I'll have appointments for the little human being developing in my..." I smile as I point my middle with both hands.

Emily understands and her eyes enlarge as she opens her mouth wide.

"No way! You're pregnant? How many weeks?"

"6."

"And you tell it to me only now?"

We burst out of laughing.

"Congratulation!"

The rest of the team enters and takes news from Emily as I share to Spence my idea of staying with Emily until the end of her pregnancy.

"Jennifer. It's not a bad idea, but when will you see me and the kids? When will you spend time with us? You're pregnant!"

"I know... I could spend the week with her and during the weekends it could be someone else. What do you think about it?"

"I don't know..."

"It remains her only 12 weeks! It's 3 months, Spence! Only 3 months! When you're at work, I'm with her, and after you can come with the kids. Anyway, Oliver will want to see his mother."

"You're letting me alone with 3 four-year-old kids? How am I supposed to do that!"

"I'll come home every weekend. Is that okay with you?"

"I'll think about it."
