"Did you kill Jae?" Lacey called over. Shit. Were they with him? I looked over to her and nodded slightly. She just stared back. They would kill us for sure now. I saw Lacey shoot Rob a look I couldn't quite read. I saw Ron nod then after a minute, she spoke again.

"Thankyou." She spoke more confidently now.

"Huh?" I furrowed my eyebrows, confused. Thankyou? What the hell? "For what?" I mumbled.

"Jae was a dick. We only followed him cus he spared us." Lacey explained.

"Spared you?" I wondered.

"He used to ride it solo, since it began. He would go round and target smaller groups, pairs, even people by themselves." Rob began before I interrupted him.

"Target? What d'ya mean?" I asked shrugging slightly, still holding the unconscious Layla in my arms.

"Kill everyone there. All the men, women and kids. Depends who was in the group, how many of each were there." Lacey informed me. This angered me. I was pissed. I'm glad I killed him. The shame washed away by this new information.

"Came across us, was gonna do the same. Hell, he damn near killed me but herd of walkers came by and we protected him. Asked us to join him." He carried on. I could see him remembering it. Like it gave him shivers just thinking about it.

"Why d'ya join him then? If you knew what he did and what he was gonna do to you and her then why go with him?" I shrugged. To be honest, I didn't care about any of this but it gave me more time to think of something to get us both outta this alive.

"If we wouldn't have, he would have killed us. So it was going with him and helping him or dying." Lacey replied, still holding her shoulder and coming to join Rob in front of me. I guess she left less threatened now I was being 'friendly' even though it was all an act. I just need Layla to wake up god dammit!

"So, thanks. He got what he deserved." Said Rob. He still had a gun to my head though. Where'd the hell he get it anyway? I took his gun from him, I don't think the girl had weapons otherwise she would have used it when I shot her in she shoulder. And Layla said Jae didn't have any. There was a brief pause of silence.

"So baby sis what happened to your shoulder?" Rob asked, his tone suddenly deadly serious. Shit. Forgot about that.

"Redneck threatened to shoot me, took the bag from me, shot me then knocked me out. You?" She spoke sort of sarcastically, like it was an ordinary question in an ordinary situation. It was far from that.

"Took my weapons off me, leaving me defenceless in the woods, threatened to shoot me, made me lead him to where Jae was then knocked me out and left me for dead." He smile back. I could already see where this was going.

"What's all that about then?" Rob tilted his head getting closer and more threatening.

"Had to get to her." I shrugged, gesturing to Layla. "She'd have been killed otherwise."

"True." Rob agreed.

"And you both had something that belongs to us." I added.

"True, He repeated again agreeing with my statements.

"Still, I'm sure we're both gonna have hella bruises for a while and that hole in her shoulder ain't going anywhere anytime soon." He protested.

"So? What d'ya want me to do about it? I killed Jae for you? Call it even?" I smirked. I knew they'd never agree but they might cause a bit of a fuss over it, therefore buying me more time.

"Ha, oh man you wish." He laughed. "We just wanna take the bag and be done with it." Rob explained. He carried on talking, I wasn't listening though as I was too distracted by the walker coming up behind them. I repositioned Layla on me so we could make a quick getaway before the walker was now right behind Lacey and Rob!

The walker fell down and plunged its teeth into Rob's neck, making him drop the gun. I instantly picked it up and shoved it in my belt, picking up Layla, slinging the bag over my shoulder and began running as fast as I could. Rob and Lacey still screaming.
