----------------------------------------

Sunday went by fast for Keyna. She got up at around ten o'clock, had a quick shower got into a pale pink dress, a black heavy coat to keep her warm and boots. She got her purse and had some breakfast before she got into her car and made her way to her mother's house.

Every Sunday, her, her three brothers and her two sisters would go to her mother's house and have a small mass at a nearby church and have lunch afterwards. She parked her car and ran into her mothers house trying not to get any rain drops on her hair. She closed the door behind her and turned to find everybody starring at her.

"What's wrong with you guys?" She said taking her boots off.

"Nothing. We were just talking about your single lonely life sweetheart," said her mother as she came to hug her daughter.

"Mom we've talked about this. I'm just not ready."

"Oh I know. Kalisa told me," said her mother as she walked to the kitchen. "Would you like some hot chocolate?" She asked.

"Yes mum. I'd love some,"

She went and greeted everyone in the living room, her thee brothers, Caleb, Calumn and Chris and her sister Kalisa with her fiance Joshua and the youngest child of the family, her sister Kim.

She sat down next to Caleb who was two years older than her and they started talking. Before she knew it, it was eight o'clock and they had just finished supper. The others apart from Kim had left and she decide to help her mother clean up before she left for her house.

It was cold and it had started snowing a few hours earlier. She locked her door, and got into a warm onesie and slipped into the warmth of her bed after a prayer.

------------------------------

The loud alarm rang through her room and she lazily dragged herself from the bed. It was seven o'clock and she decided that she would go to work after lunch and so she continued sleeping. Two hours later, she got up and had a hot shower. She got dressed into jeans and a turtle neck long sleeved sweater. She sat down on the couch with a bowl full of cereals in her hand and turned on the TV.

She got her trench coat and boots, her keys and locked her door and made her way into her car and started driving to work a while later. She arrived an hour past twelve and found Troy and Ashley.

"Where have you been?" The asked simultaneously.

"At home.I didn't feel like coming early besides I have to lock up late today because of Mr.Coleman."

"Oh. Okay." Said Ashley. "Do you want some?" She asked holding a packet of takeout fries in her hand.

"No thanks. I just had lunch." Said Keyna as she made her way to the locker room. She removed her coat and her boots and got into house slippers instead.

The three sat down in the lounge room next to the store as they talked and drank hot chocolate. Once in a while, Keyna would go to the counter and give customers their laundered clothes or take dirty clothes. Soon Troy and Ashley left and Keyna found herself sitting at the counter watching the news on the TV that hung from the wall waiting for Mr Coleman to come and pick his suit.

Two hours later, at around six thirty p.m, he parked his car right outside the store and ran through the snow that was falling and into the warm comfort of the store. He didn't see anyone and so he sat down on the couch as he waited for someone to show up and attended to his needs.

Twenty minutes later, he stood up agitated and started shouting "hello, anyone here," loudly through the store. "Hello," he shouted again even louder.

Keyna stood up from the couch and put the novel she was reading down and made her way to the counter.
She was met by the agitated and angry face of Malcolm.

"What the fuck is wrong with you? You had me sitting here for twenty minutes waiting for my suit ...."

"Shut up! Okay! Who do you think you are walking in here talking like you own the damn place. Its not my fault I didn't here you coming in. If anyone is suppose to be blaming the other, its supposed to be me blaming you. I said five not six thirty. FIVE. But you come here at six thirty and start shouting at me. You better watch your mouth." She yelled.

He remained silent and starred at her in silent furry.
Who does she think she is shouting at me like that? Does she know what I can do to her? How I can ruin her for just looking at me with anger? He thought to himself .

"My suit?" He said to her.

She rolled her eyes and went to the store to get it. It took a while for her to find it and she finally did. She went back to the counter. She was filling in some things in the book when her attention as caught by the breaking news headline on the local TV station.

"Attention citizens of New York. You are advised to remain where you are stay in your house's and to get off the streets and into a building where you can be protected from the sudden snow storm." Said the news reporter.

She looks out of the window and surely there was heavy snowfall. There was no one visible on the streets and the roads had no cars at all and a thick layer of snow had covered the tarmac of the road.

"Here you go," she said handing him the receipt.

"Thank you," he whispered under his breath.

He began making his way to the door when she yelled at him to stop.

"Where do you think you're going?" She asked.

"I'm going home." He replied.

"Are you stupid or something? Can't you see the weather? Didn't you see the news? You can't go outside? There's a snowstorm."

"I know that but still. I have to go home. I can't stay here with you?" He said.

"You know what go ahead. Leave. I'll make sure to attend your funeral." She said.

"How nice of you Keyna." He said as he eyed her rudely before opening the door.
