Keyna's POV
He was right. We couldn't avoid each other. It was close to impossible. On Sunday we had a late lunch at a restaurant. I arrived forty seven minutes later because I didn't know about the lunch and it took me a while to prepare myself.
I wore a white lace dress and maroon heels and carried a black clutch as I walked in through the doors. The restaurant was bright, with wide windows letting in a lot of light. There were flowers all over the room and it looked beautiful. I spotted them at the corner of the room and began making my way there when I heard someone whistle behind me.
I turned around out of curiosity and saw him. He looked decent and casual with black jeans and a blue dress shirt. He had a wide smile on his face as he studied me from head to toe.
I turned around and began walking away. I saw my sisters bright face smiling at me and she stood up and pulled me into a hug.
"I'm glad you could make it on such short notice," she whispered into my ear.
I smiled at her and greater the other bridesmaids,my sister Kim among them and the grooms men, my brothers Chris and Calumn among them.
I sat in between Kim and Calumn and directly opposite Malcolm. We ordered our lunch and ate as we laughed and talked with each other and I tried to avoid looking at or speaking to Malcolm.
Soon it was six o'clock and people had started leaving. I said goodbye to my sister and her fiancé after we discussed about the fitting dates and rehearsals. I made my way out if the restaurant and just after I got out of the restaurant, I saw him there, standing right in front of me. I walked past him.
"No hello for he?" He asked.
I continued walking.
"So now you're giving me the silent treatment?" He asked again.
I ignored him and continued walking to my car. He tool a fee strides and he was already in front of me, towering over me with his 6'2 frame.
"What do you want?" I asked him rudely.
"Oh, so you finally speak to me. You look nice today. I didn't know you could afford such nice clothes. It must have cost you months of saving. Maybe years." He said as he smiled." I mean you don't make that much money in you low job right?"
Before I knew it, my hand was on his cheek. I slapped him so hard that my palm and his cheek turned red.
"You better watch what you say to me. Don't you ever try to insult me again! And for tour information, I'm paid enough money to take care of myself well okay. And I dare you to insult me again! I dare you!" I said as I opened the door of my car furiously. I threw my purse in and closed the door, turned the car on, reversed and drove away.

Malcolm's POV
That bitch slapped me. She slapped me!
What the hell is wrong with her? Who the hell does she think she is slapping me? Does she know who I am? Does she know how I can ruin her?
I didn't bother going back into the restaurant. I angrily got into my car and called my assistant and commanded her to do a back ground check on Keyna.
I was reluctant at first but thought that it would be better this way. I was happy, that she was in the line up and that now, I had even more time to irritate her. I smiled my cheeky smile as I thought if all the ways I could make her miserable.
On Monday morning, I made my way to my office greeting everybody I came across with a wide smile on my face.
The day was busy as usual with several meetings to attend to and several deals to sign. I slumped onto the leather chair in my office at seven thirty five. I had just finished a meeting and I was exhausted. Melanie, my assistant walked into the office shyly and placed a file in front of me.
"Its on Keyna Bishop. You had asked for it," she said.
Thank you I said as I threw her a wink. She blushed off course and stared at the ground.
"Can I ask you something Melanie?"
"Uh.. Umm.. Yes sir." She said.
"Do you think that I'm attractive ?" I asked.
She blushed again. How adorable.
"Uh.. Well..."
"Answer me!" I commanded her.
"Yes I do."
"Okay. You can go home now. See you tomorrow." I said.
She silently made her way out of the office and closed the door behind her.
I wondered why I had this effect on so many women and when it came to Keyna, it was close to impossible to get any effect of attraction from her.Did she think I was ugly? Did she hate me that much? Am I not her type?
I opened the file and studied it. I gathered information from it like she was born on August 16 and she was the third born. She was also 25 years old. She had gone to the same middle school and highschool and had one year of university. She lived in the lower side of New York for most of her life and she was a Protestant Christian. Her father had served the army but passed away while on duty in Iraq. Her sisters were both models and her brothers all worked in the same company. She had a clean criminal record and she had worked in the same place for five years.
I read a bit more about her before I put the file in my drawer and headed home in the dark, cold world.
