Au revoir.-----------------------------------
It was now Saturday and she woke up late, as usual had a long shower and got into jeans, and a white chiffon shirt. She applied some light make up before putting on black heels and pulling out a pink purse and heading out of her apartment.
An hour later, she parked her car and got out and walked into a new Italian restaurant where she would be having her lunch with Joanna. An attractive waiter led her to where Joanna was and as soon as she saw Keyna, she jumped up and embraced her in a tight bone crushing hug.
"I was wondering when you would get here," said Joanna as they sat down. "Please can you get us two glasses of water," she said politely to the waiter and he left.
"I feel like I've not seen you in forever," says Joanna.
"Jo you're so dramatic. Its just been a week and I called you there times this week and we talked for hours."
"Oh I know. But just let me be okay," said Joanna.
Keyna rolled her eyes and looked around the restaurant.
"Its a nice place right?" Asks Joanna and Keyna nods. "It has great food too. Or so I've heard."
"So how are you?" Asks Keyna."And the baby?" She says as she widens her eyes.
Joanna was now two months expectant with her fist child and she was beyond excited. She had five more months to complete her course and she wanted to at least work for one month before taking a break to prepare for the birth.
And that was the beginning of their three hour long conversation as they ate and drunk water to their satisfaction.
"So are you going to come with me on Saturday evening?" Asks Joanna.
"Oh I don't know." Says Keyna.
"What do you mean you don't know. Do you have another date or something that I don't know of?"
"Sort of. But its not a date. Its just diner. And I don't even know if its on that day? He could have changed his mind and changed the day." She says.
Joanna looks at her with interest written all over her face," Who is he?"
"It doesn't matter," she said as she paid for the lunch and thanked the waiter for his services.
"Oh it does. Come on spill."
"I would love to but I can't," she says to Joanna. She pulls her in for a hug and kisses bother her cheeks before leaving.
On Sunday, she attended church with her mother before they went to her house to start preparing lunch. Soon everyone ,apart from Kim who had a photoshoot in Paris arrived and they talked and drunk as usual deep into the night before they left to their respective destinations.
She took off her shoes and put her bag down before going to her kitchen and getting a glass if water. She walked into her bedroom where she took of the pastel coloured dress that she had on and had a long shower washing away all the dirt and sweat that had accumulated. She then got into shorts and a vest before neatly braiding her hair and brushing her teeth while she sang along to the songs from her playlist.
Her phone vibrated just when she was about to break into a dancing frenzy and she rolled her eyes in anger before picking it up.
It was a text from him.
How was church? It read.
