Third POV

On Monday, Joanna finally came back to work after a month of vacation. She was as cheerful as ever and that put everybody at edge. At lunch time, Joanna and Keyna left work and decided to go to their favourite coffee place.

"So tell me," said Keyna as she finished giving her orders.

"Tell you what?" Said Joanna as she stared at her phone.

Keyna took her phone from her hands and kept it in her handbag.

"Hey you can't do that!" Shouted Joanna.

"Tell me! Tell me now!"

"What?" Asked Joanna. "There's nothing to tell."

"You do know you can't lie to me right? I know you're lying and I know that you are hiding something from me. Tell me what it it is." Said Keyna.

"Fine." Said Joanna. "I'll tell you," she added with a smile. "I'm pregnant. Im pregnant! Can you believe it."

"Oh no way. Shut up!" Said Keyna with excitement.

"Yes I am. And there's even more news."

"What is it?" Asked Keyna curiously.

"I'm giving you the store."

"What do you mean?" Asked Keyna with shock.

"I mean that you clearly have a passion for doing what you do and I know that you are good at what you do. So I'm giving you the store because I know you'll run it better than I do. I'm just not feeling it any more and you know that I've always wanted to do teaching and so I got this opportunity to go to university. So will you take it?" She said.

"Sure. I mean off course I will,"

"Great well to over some legal documents and stuff tomorrow okay?"

"Yeah okay." Said Keyna in a confused tone.

They drank their coffee and ate some cake as they talked and laughed with each other. They were pretty close and they had known each other since kindergarten. Their parents were close friends and that's how they became friends at first. They ended up going to the same middle school and high school and their friendship strengthened.

They both separated from each other and went to their own homes afterwards.

Malcolm on the other hand had a busy, long day as usual. He had several meetings throughout the day and at seven o'clock, he slumped into his chair and closed his eyes as he relaxed.

His phone vibrated and he looked at the caller ID, it was his mother.

"Mum?"

"Oh my pumpkin is that how you greet the woman who brought you into this world?"

"I'm sorry. I'm just really tired."

"Is everything okay? Work?"

"Yeah its all fine."
