--------------------------------------

Weeks and months went by without them seeing each other and their lives resumed their usual routine.

Business was booming for her as her dry-cleaning store successfully managed to shut down two of the competitors and claim all their customers. Off course she got more employees to help her and they were her little band of close friends.

She rarely went out, only a couple of times because her close friend, Troy insisted but other than that, she would keep to her house on Friday evenings with a book or a movie to watch. On Sundays, she spent the day with her mother and her family off course and on Saturdays she would either go shopping or go for lunch with her now expectant best friend, Joanna.

He on the other hand was beyond stressed running the big company and having many late nights at work. Off course he often went to the club and ended up with a couple of women in his bed but still they couldn't take his mind off of her. As much as he tried he couldn't stop thinking about her although he would often try to push all thoughts of her to the back of his mind.

She got comfortable to the idea of never seeing him again and was quite satisfied about it.

It was a Friday night and she was the last one at the store as usual. She made sure that all the machines were off and that everything was okay, neatly ironed or safely in a laundry basket before she switched of the lights and locked the store.

The air outside was humid and warm as it was now summer. She walked to her car and turned it on and drove away. At the red light, she stopped and hummed lightly to the new song 'I took a pill in Ibiza by Mike Posner' as she swayed her head and was in thought. Tonight she had planned to watch 'Batman vs Superman' and so she decided to stop by the store and grab some things.

The trolley was quarter way full of popcorn ,sodas and gummy bears, her favorite and she was now making her way to the chocolate isle before getting some ice cream. She had just put five bars in the trolley when her eyes met a familiar frame, one she hadn't seen in so long. She turned around quickly hoping that he hadn't seen her and started walking away but it was too late. He had already seen her.

"Keyna," he said and watched her turn around at the mention of her name.

"Malcolm," she said meeting his brown eyes.

His lips widen to form a smile as he walks to her. "Long time no see," he says.

"Yeah," she says as she nods her head.

"How long has it been? Five months?" He asks.

"I believe so. I'm not sure,"she says staring at the floor.

"You know I have to say, I have missed you," he says smiling at her.

"I wish I could say the same about you, but I can't because I'd be lying," she says smiling at him.

"Why are you so mean to me sweet heart? What did I ever do wrong?," he says as he clutches his heart and pretends to be hurt by her words.

She let's out a short giggle and he laughs with her too.

"I've really missed your beautiful laugh you know," he says looking down at her green eyes.

Her palms start to sweat. She's nervous again under his scrutiny. Her heart beats faster and her temperature rises but she mentally slaps herself for allowing this to happen.
