One Last Time

chapter 40 - meeting her again ...

Ring ring ...

I was pissed of by the alarm ... no its not the alarm its my phone ... ringing loudly ... I stretched my hand and reach my phone ....

Scott : hello ... ( groan )

Magenta : Scott we have emergency meeting at 9:30 come quick ...

Scott: what !!

I look at the wall clock and its already 9:00 ...

Scott : I'll try to attend ... ( in hurried tone )

I took a very fast shower and dressed up so quick .. I think I didn't even brush my teeth ... so when I was at the kitchen ... I took a mint over the fridge ... et my keys and drive ... so I drive and try to pi resumed the meeting

Scott : I'm sorry , I'm late ( as I catch my breath )

Mr. Levick : yes .., so sit here so we can continue ( in Spanish accent )

His not angry at his voice but I'm still ashamed ...

Mr. Levick : this past few days I hear some not so pleasant news like bulyings in this restaurant ... and I'm not very happy with that so ... I decided that one of you are leaving ... reassigned in the newst branch of pertenece corazon ( the name of the restaurant ) , which is in los Angeles ... that's all for to now .. go back to work everybody ... Scott come to my office ...

I'm sure its' me ... I nervously walked to his office and sit down ... I'm trying to relax my self ..

Mr. Levick : I'm sure you know that your leaving ...

Scott : you gave me hits sir ...

Mr. Levick : your one of my most hardworking and greatest chef in this restaurant and .. I was awful when I hear that your abused here .. I can't fire them coz I don't want this thing get bigger so I decided to send you in los angeles ... since the restaurant was just new there ... I know you can make it popular too like here ... I'm not forcing you ... if its not good to you I can send your bullies there ...

Scott : um ... I don't know sir ... I love this place and the people ... but for the sake of everyone ... I will just gonna move to los angeles ...

Mr. Levick : that's a smart decision ... I will just call you to know when your flight is ...

Scott : thank you very much too sir ...

I accept it ... I will go back to los angeles .. its good coz Mac's birthday was on Thursday next week I could probably make it ...

I was in the airport ... of LA and I'm so exited ... Mr. Levick lend me a car to use ... for a short time , while my car was traveling ...

While driving I decided to visit Mac's house he gave me his address when we met at Jessica's birthday ...

I saw Mac's house its big and beautiful ... beautiful ... he said Lizzy and him live together now ...

I was nervous and exited ... I rang the doorbell ...

ding dong ...ding dong ....

The door swung open and I saw Lizzy ...

Scott : hi !

Lizzy : Scott ! I didn't expect you here ...

Scott : yeah its unexpected ...

Lizzy : come in ...

Scott : thank you ... ( as I enter )

Lizzy change her voice now aren't sound the same .. her voice have some politeness than before ... and she became very hot now ...

Lizzy : you change a lot ... you became hit now ... and I saw you in a magazine ... your a famous chef at new York ...

Scott : thank you ... ( as I scratch the back of my ear ) where's Mac ?

Lizzy : he just bought something in he- ( as someone rang the door bell ) I think that's him ...

Scott : um... Lizzy , can I open it ? For just a little surprise ...

Lizzy : if you want ...

I run to the door and giggled a little bit ... I was exited to surprise Mac ...
So I open the door ...

But -........ my smile gone and my stomach started to flip ... I was the one who's surprised ...

I was shocked and she was too .. the silence take over everything until I felt awkwardness around ...

Kath : hi ... ( with a smile )

I just shut my mouth as I look at her... everything came back, the pain, the memories , everything ! ... I heard Lizzy's voice and I came back on my self ... I look down and just give way to Lizzy ... I can feel my face burning red ...

Lizzy : oh ... Kath ... I didn't expect you ... ( in shocked too )

I know she can feel the awkwardness too ... I can't move my lips ... I just wanna runs away ...

Kath : I didn't know you have a visitor ...

I really need to go or I will melt here ... I need to move a muscle ... but before I speak ... Mac came ...

Mac : Scott !

He make it a little bit easier ...

Mac : oh ... ( he felt the awkwardness too )

When he saw Kath and me he felt awkward ... I need to exit at thus situation .

Lizzy : Mac went to grocery ... and we can cook food for dinner ... do you mind if ...( as she make it less worse )

Mac : um... do you mind Scott if I ask you to cook ? ( as he make it worse )

I can't decline it .. if he ask me something ... I need to do it ... no choice ... Scott you need to stay for a while ...with Kath ...

Scott : oh !...u-um ... s-sure ...

Her look make me frozen ... I can't imagine how she can look at me ... she really do move on ...

Lizzy : Kath would you like to have dinner here ? ( as I look at her )

She now make it super worst ... she do change but not a lot her naughtyness still remain ...

She walked inside slowly she's looking down and grinning slyly ... its embarrassing ...

Mac enter but I block his way and remain outside ... I really need to talk to him ...

Scott : why ?

Mac : I didn't know that ...

Scott : your girlfriend is very naughty ... I can't stay seeing kath ... ( as I whisper a little bit )

Mac : Scott its been six years and you said you moved on ... why your so affected ...

Scott : coz she left a deep wound in here ( as I pointed my heart ) and a little bit of it still unrecovered ...

Mac : its gonna be alright ... just relax ...
