One Last Time

chapter 41 - awkward overload

Its 7:00 pm .. me and Mac went to the kitchen to took ... they ask the dishes that I always cook in New York ...

I'm just silent whole time Kath came ... I don't want to speak all the time ...

Mac : Scott ... are you alright ?

Scott : ... you know I'm not ...

Mac : come on ... talk a little bit ... I'm not use to silent Scott ...

Scott : I don't know ... I just .. I'm embarrassed at you girlfriend for planing this thing ... she knows I'm not comfortable to it ... She's making it hard to me ...

Mac : but you said you moved on ... so nothing to be awkward then ...

Scott : yes I am ! But ... I'm still angry at her ... she makes me feel how jackass I am !

Mac : your making things so complicated ...

Scott : maybe your right ... I was the one making it hard ...

Mac : just act like your just alright prove to her you moved on ...

Scott : your right...

Later on I serve the dinner ... I call Mac to ask them eat ...

Lizzy : mmmm ! Smell so good .. so delicious ... ( as she sat down )

Mac : I helped Scott ... to cook

Lizzy : what did you helped ?

Scott : he cook this ... ( as I serve his dish )

Mac : his right its my specialty !

Lizzy : Kath ... sat here ... ( she pointed at my side )

There she is ... I felt my cheeks got red . My knees shake together with my hands , butterflies in my stomach ... and hot feeling ...

Kath sat at my side ... I never heard her speak ... I think she felt awkward as same as me ... but I need to act cool so I breath heavily and try to relax ...
But I can't stop my self ... I took my spoon but because my hands are shaking I dropped  it ... so I bend down to pick it up ... she does the same too so our heads touched and she look at me straight in the eyes , I look at her and had an eye contact then look back at the spoon ... but she picked it first ... so I sat up and she gave me the spoon ...

Her soft hand touched mine , I don't know but it brought me more butterflies in my stomach ...

Scott : thanks ... ( I look down trying to avoid eye contact )

Kath : your welcome ! ( as she smile )

Mac : so .... this is so delicious ! ( while his mouth was full )

Thank you Mac ... now I wasn't tense .

The whole dinner was about showbiz ... about Kath and Lizzy ... I was just silent listening to them ... Mac too was busy eating ... afterwards my phone ring ...

Scott : excuse me ...

I walk just turn and answer the call ...

Scott : hello ? Oh ! Hey ... you here ? How ? Okay ... I'll be there ... sure !

Mac : whose that ?

Scott : its Jessica ... her plane just landed and she ask me to pick her so ... I need to go ...

Mac : okay ... I'll bring you to the door ..

Kath's P.O.V

Wow ... what a great timing Jessica ... everything was going right but must one call and everything was ruined ...

Lizzy : oh...o !

Kath : I thought this would be a perfect night for me !

Lizzy : you know ... I have a feeling that Scott and Jessica have a relationship ... imagine it ! After Scott left Jessica followed him and they've been so close to each other for 6 years I'm sure that they are in a relationship besides Jessica was in love with Scott ever since ...

Kath : no they aren't ... I always check his accounts and no in a relationship status ... so I still have chance to fix things and back what's lost ...

Lizzy : but what if he didn't want you back in his life ... you said before he left you he said please don't bother my life again ...

Kath : I will do anything to win him back ... I'll do my best ...

Lizzy : I have a plan ... Mac's birthday was on Thursday and we haven't invited much people ... after the party ... we will play trueth or dare ... if the bottle lands on me and you I will dare you to kiss Scott ... maybe his feelings back when you kiss ... or planned B make him drunk and put him in an empty room and do whatever you want to do to him or drive him in your house and that ....

Kath : you always come to great ideas !

Scott's P.O.V

I walked to my unit Mr. Levick gave me ... I carried my bags together with Jessica ... she was tired so I decided to just went to my unit and spend the night ...

Scott : its a big one !

Jessica : your boss was so kind !

Scott : maybe it has three one two rooms ...

I check the whole unit its has only two rooms not bad ... the masters bedroom mine so I put all my things there ...

I lead Jessica to her room ... and she put her things and I left her ...

I was so tired ... but I took a quick shower then lay down on my bed ... I stair at the ceiling remembering earlier .. as my hand touches Kath's hand it makes me so embarrass and I hate being in that situation but I named to practise my self act cool when she's there ...

I can't forget her eyes ... its just the same as I saw her first day of school ... but I don't feel the same anymore ... I guess I really moved on ... hope so ... its just anger ...

I couldn't sleep so I went to the kitchen and took some water ... I saw Jessica ...

Scott : Jessica ? Why your still up ?

Jessica : yeah ... I was thinking of dad .. Its been a long time since our last talk ...

Scott : visit him tomorrow ! And walk to the park with him ... or have some vacation ... japan , london , austrailia , philippines ? Anyhwere , its gonna be cool ...

Jessica : yeah that's good ... i better have a vacation ... i'm thinking to go all those countries ....... but do you have work tomorrow ?

Scott : um.... Mr' levick says that my official start was on monday but I will go there to just introduse my self to my new co-workers then visit a place ...

Jessica : what place ?

Scott : its just a place that I always go through ... and its a very special place too ...

Jessica : is that the abandon building ?

Scott : yeah ! But I hope its still standing on and not demolished ...
