How much pain can one person take?

Ollie walked into work after dropping Zosia off at the airport. He couldn't help feeling worried, Zosia hadn't really told him much. Only that she had to go help her sister. He was also worried about Guy, Ollie knew that he would notice Zosia's absence from the ward but she didn't want her dad to know where she was so she asked Ollie not to say anything.

What Ollie feared happened earlier that he thought when guy came over to him

"Where is Zosia at, Valentine? I was sure she had a shift today." Guy asked

"Urm, she ill." Ollie replied

"Ill?"

"Yeah, urm she has a cold."

Suddenly jac spoke from behind "no, she doesn't. I got an email from Hansen this morning saying she's taken a week of because of a family emergency. Which begs the question of why you don't know, guy."

Ollie tried to excuse himself "urm I have a patient to see."

"Where's my daughter?" 

"I don't know." Ollie said unconvincingly

"If she told Hansen, she must have told you." Jac said then turned to Guy "she's gone to Poland."

"Why?" Guy asked

"I don't know." Ollie said again

"Why is it I don't believe you.?" Guy raised his voice slightly

"I'm telling the truth guy I only know very roughly. One minute she was one the phone then next minute she was going on about how Julia was in trouble and she had to go help her. And honestly that's all I know." Ollie explained

"what does Julia have to do with it.?" Guy questioned

"Who's Julia?" Jac asked 

"Zosia's sister." Guy answered

"I didn't know she had a sister."

Ollie sighed "no, she said no one did."

"I knew." Guy said

"Yeah but according to Zosia Julia hates you more than she did. She said Julia would put the world against you. Oh and she also said you haven't even spoken to Julia in years." Ollie said

"What does it have to do with you?"

"Well Zosia moved and changed her name to get away from you, I'm just trying to imagine what Julia could possibly have against you that's worse that hiding anyas illness."

"I don't care what you think. Anyway why did Zosia not tell me?" Guy asked

Ollie sighed "because she didn't want you to know. She said I would have to wait until she got back to have an explanation because she had to get her head round it properly. She just took off. She booked a flight and had me drop her at the airport this morning. She didn't want anymore people knowing. No more people than needed to."

"And you just let my daughter jump on a plane and go to Poland?"

"Who am I to stop her doing something she wants to.? She's a free person."
