Dangerous: the warning of conflict to yourself or others. Mark was a danger to himself and others. Anger filled his mind. Smashing TV's, punching through walls, toppling lamps, and setting his bed on fire. But his laptop... His only way to talk to her would be gone if he destroys it. Could he really do that?

He unplugged the charger slowly and closed the laptop. "Sigh... Paige... I'm getting tired of this."

"Then let go. No one is worth that much pain if they can't give you the same amount of happiness." Mark said for Paige.

"But is worth the pain to be persistent?" He asks.

"You know the answer to that."

"Persistence is sexy?" Mark smiled.

"Not what I meant."

"I know." Mark smiled. "No, it's not worth it anymore. It's time to move on." All this glass, ashes, and wood parts were scattered across the floor. Guess he'll start there.

Sweep, sweep goes the broom. Into the dustpan. All the wood chips and glass must go. All of it went to the trash bag.

I guess he'll get that hole in the wall fixed later. For now, he hides it with a picture frame. Picture... picture... Ah yes, "our" picture. The picture Mark ripped in half. He looks at it, feeling numb. Taking the picture, he places both halves in his back pocket. He has plans for it; for now, he has a broken TV to put away.

After lifting the heavy TV to the recycling bin, Mark headed to the beach. Conveniently, it was close by. His feet on the warm grimy sand felt good. The sun was just about to set. The sky was a blend of red and orange. Almost poetic.

Slipping off the two halves, he took one last look at the picture, each half in each hand. Please... Let there be a miracle... Hoping there would be something in the back, he turns the photo around. Blank. Nothing, but white. Sigh... That was hoping for too much. He leans down to drop the photos to the ground, letting the waves take it away. All he did was stare as the photo was taken away by the waves of the Pacific. Guess... This is it... Regaining his composure, he stood up and looked away. Walking away.

All feeling toward Paige was gone. He stopped, taking one last moment and said, "Paige. Wherever you are. I hope you're happy." He closed his eyes for a while. That's enough. He continued strolling along the beach. Step by step on the warm sand.
