To get to know me better, you first got to know my favorite cartoons. So here's my list of the most awsome cartoons:

10. Teen titans

What to say about this? Anime-ish? check. Super heroes? check. Funny and adorable? All the way. This show was just soooooo good. It gave us lesser known superheroes fighting crimes and living an ordinary live. Yes, Teen Titans GO ruins it a bit, but I think we shouldn't see it as a spin-off/related series, because it's not. It's something completely different. It would just be so nice if people could understand that for once. I hated that it was canceled so soon. There were to many open endings, to many dots that hadn't been connected yet, so many possibilitys. It was, none the less, amazing.

9. We bare bears

One word: kawaii! It's just such an adorable little cartoon. It makes me wanna aw, everytime I watch it and is just perfect if your having a bad day. It just always makes me smile, when I don't want to smile. And I think every-one can relate to panda on a spiritual level. I mean: anime, phone addiction and shy. By the way: Icebear for president.

8. Rick and Morty

There are two reasons why there are only two adult cartoons on this list: 1. I haven't watched all 2. They are childish
Now, I don't mean childish childish. They're adult cartoons after all. I just mean the sense of humor. Just because you can say everything and do everything, that doesn't mean you should do and say everything. Rick and Morty and BoJack Horseman are two series who get this. But while BoJack focuses on more darker themes, is Rick and Morty just straight up goofy. Goofy in a good way. They created a universe where everything can happen and they use that gladly. The situations the main characters get in are just so ridiculous and over the top, while keeping it funny and doing it with a smart sense of humor. The chemistry between Rick and Morty is also amazing.

7. Total drama worldtour

I just love total drama. They use stereotypes on purpose and in an over the top kinda way, which makes is incredibly fun to watch. There are a lot of seasons and it doesn't look like they're going to quit soon, so the world won't end yet. I love all of it's seasons but one particulary stands out: total drama worldtour. I just love the songs, locations and challenges. It's just such an unique concept: a cartoon reality serie. That way, you can do whatever you want with the characters. Total drama worldtour features most of my favorite characters (except for Mike );) and has some of the best references in the show.

6. Miraculous ladybug

How often do you see a CGI action cartoon. Never, except for now. Miraculous ladybug is just like meeting an old friend. The old friend being a saturday morning superhero cartoon. The plot is not super original or unpredictable, but they are well done. Besides, the relationship between Chat noir (adrien) and Marinette is nice and the background characters and villains are loveable and original. The animation is incredible and I love that it takes place in Paris, instead of a made-up city or an American/English city. Bonus: cat puns. If you are planning on watching it, I recommend you watch it in French with subtitles. It's way better than the English version and the themesong sounds incredible.

5. Bojack horseman

When I made this list,  I didn't have Bojack horseman on the list, but this show gets better over time as more of the storylines start to unravel. As I said: Bojack plays with some darker themes and is the most "human" show I've ever watched. You'll relate to the characters in ways that you hadn't expected and in ways that you don't want to. The humor of this show is also really great and makes the show more pleasant in the most oncomfortable scenes.

4. Over the garden wall

It's dark, it's original, it's adorable, it's just made for me. The characters are just so lovable and well written and the stories are short, yet satisfying. The design is wonderful and the backgrounds are even wonderfuller. I love the dark undertone and Greg's cheerful mood and the songs make the show a bit lighter, so it doesn't come over as too dark or depressing. I love the fact that it is a mini-series with an amazing qualitie and I hope cartoon network will produce more of these soon. (The royals is coming up next, so yeah, I'm excited.)

3.Star vs. the forces of evil

This series is (as we bare bears) fairly new and we all have to admit that it takes some guts to put up a series like this. Disney XD had Phineas and Ferb and Gravity Falls already and it seems like they won't stop producing good cartoons anytime soon, so hold your guts, 'cause this is going to be a hack of a ride. Seems like Cartoon network's cartoon empire is finally going to fall. I hope that Star vs. the forces of evil will make it 'til that time has come. I just hope that it keeps it childish, goofy character and won't take a darker way like gravity falls did.

2. Gravity Falls

Does it come as I surprise that this is my number 2 pick? I love dark animations and I love well-written characters, but It's not my number one pick due to the fact that it's maybe too dark sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I love that, but I watched it with my little brother, who was terrified with Northwest mansion mystery. Some episodes are not really that good, so that's why it's two, not one. I love the mysteries surrounding gravity falls, the codes, the theories the character relationships. The show doesn't put to much focus on the plot or Mabel and Dipper, but also introduces you to the mysteries and creatures of gravity falls, which comfortable balance. And admit, the finale was just straight up adorable, epic and a tearjerker.

1. Steven Universe

Does not really come as a surprise, does it? This show is basically everything a cartoon can ask for: originality, a beautful design, awsome characters, a super cool plot and go on. It is hartwarming with exploring the relationship between steven and the crystal gems, breathstunning with it's visuals and incredible when it comes to the plot, all of that while showing some surprisingly touching and dark moments. I like this cartoon above the rest, because it feels so natural. Steven is just a normal kid, who wants to do normal things and the gems are basically just a squad of overprotective moms. SU takes the time to explore it's locations and characters. Not only the main ones, but almost every citizen's of beach city. I especially like the style with it's pastel colors. This is a cartoon that people are going to remember. I know for sure that this is the start of a new golden animation era and I hope it will bring us loads of amazing cartoons. I love all the songs and all the episodes. I don't think there has been an episode or song I didn't like. Bonus point: PINK LION!!!! #lionsbestcat He is a way better cat than peridot.

Honourable mentions:

Scooby doo mysterie inc:
I like that they took such a culture classic and transformed it into something completely new. It still has the same concept, but is way darker and has a ongoing storyline. You can still watch most episodes apart from each other, which I like. The series had an interesting character for the main cast, as well as the new introduced characters, like Hot Dog Water and Mr. E. They made a completely new series out of a series that is already used to much. Just leave Scooby doo alone! You're only ruining it cartoon network! Still, I'm so glas this series was made. I love that they made it darker and the plotlines way different, while still giving it a "Scooby doo" atmosphere. I think it was canceled way too soon.
