List:Five animated films I'm not going to see this year

I've seen an incredible amount of films in the theater this year and I want to see a lot more of them, but there are also some films that seem to poorly written or childish to see in theatre. I'll probably watch them at home, but I'm not willing to spend money on it.

5. Kubo and the two strings

I know what you're thinking; this was one of the films you were looking forward to, right? Yes, and no. Laika's animation is fenomenal and so is the animation used in this film, but it has been critised for it's weak story. AND I LOVE A GOOD STORY. Look at the biggest animation producer in the world; Disney. They put effort into the story and animation. That's what makes them so good. Kubo isn't the worst movie of the year, but from a story standpoint it's certainly not the best.

Fun fact: did you know that Kubo and the two strings is called "Kubo en het het magische zwaard" in Dutch? If you translate it back again, it means Kubo and the magic sword.

4. Sing

You know, I wasn't really excited about it when I first saw the trailer, because it uses pop-songs and pop-songs/popculture never really goes well with animation, since the film will age very quickly if they use to much of it. But you know what? I actually kinda like it now. It's concept is pretty original (Like the total drama way of original) and the characters could really work. It's a bit suspicious that this one airs so quickly after Zootopia and the animation is a bit blend, but I'll still watch it at home.

3. Secret life of pets

I've talked about this one already, but whatever. One of my cousins told me that it was a funny movie, but that I shouldn't go see it in the theatre after we'd watched sausage party. (The reactions from the people and or friends during the movie were just brilliant. This also adds a whole other layer of meaning to my wattpad name.)

2. Storks

Well now we truly begin with the things I hate. Is this really from the guys who made the LEGO movie? I don't things so, because honestly it looks like crap. It's not really the fault of the animation style. Although it is terribly blend, but more the standard story with stupid jokes.

1. Trolls

This is truly the film that I despise the most this year. Does anyone besides me know what trolls even are in this age? Some of the songs are okay I guess, but it's a happy, magical musical where nothing bad ever happens and things are solved by whining and singing. (This only works for Steven Universe damnit.) I loath the colors and designs, so this is the perfect fit for my number one spot. How can this piece of garbage come from the studio that gave us classics like shrek, madagaskar, how to train your dragon and so much more?
