How should I start with this one... IT. WAS. AWSOME.

First of all, the story. (Skip if you know it.) The story is about Judy Hopps; A rabbit who wants to make the world a better place by becoming the first bunny cop. However, when she finally becomes one, (with excellent results) she sees that zootropolis (the biggest city) wasn't waiting for a rabbit cop. It seems that the slogan of the city; everyone can be everything, doesn't really aply to everything. She has parking duty, while the other cops are solving a missing mamals case. She meets Nick Wilde, a fox who sees the world less bright than Judy. Judy then blackmails him, so that he helps her with the case. When Chief Bogo finds out, he gives her 2 days to close the case. Nick and Judy find out that the mamals weren't kidnapped, but went crazy. Probably because of their natural instinct. They find out where they were kept and discovered that the mayor locked them up. The mayor is put in jail and Judy has conference with all the animal reporters. She is extremely nervous and asks Nick if he wants to become a cop. Judy then says something that hurts Nick's feelings. She finally has what she's always wanted, but doesn't feel happy, because the new mayor wants her to set the prey up against the predators. Judy goes back to her farming family and discovers that the predators didn't go crazy because of their instinct, but because of a flower named nighthowlers. She makes up with Nick and together they search for more evidence. They then discover that the badguy was the new mayor bellwether all along. (Dum, dum, duuuuum.) Nick then devised a ruse and Bellwether is caught. The end. Everyone lives happily evah aftah.

Secondly, the visuals. The visuals were stunning. Just. Beautiful. The best I've ever seen and I'm not kidding. There is so much happing in the background and the landscapes are amazing, which makes this movie extremely rewachable. *Begins clapping slowly.*  You've done it again Disney, you surprised me. This movie is easily better than frozen with it's visuals. Seriously, go watch frozen, then zootropolis. Believe me, You'll see the difference.

Thirdly, the story and characters. We know already that Disney can create extremely relatable characters and they showed us this once again in Zootropolis. The characters feel real, but for once not childish. These could be real people. The story is nothing special, really. The plot has been used way to many times, but Disney managed to keep it fresh somehow. I could see the end coming from miles away, so no points for that Disney. I mean; Bellwether? Frozen easily scores better on the strory point. I didn't like the story much, it felt way to familiar. Sometimes Disney shows us a flash of briliance, like Nick's scene (I know you know what I'm talking about) or with the chasing scene. Apart from each other are the storyparts great, but when you combine them... Nah...

Then the moral. This is a tricky one. This story tries to disprove the stereotypes, but they're there for a reason. Judy is the farmer girl, who is overly optimistic and wants a better life. Nick is the arrogant businessman, who tells the farmer girl that life isn't as rosy as it seems in the city. Then we have Bellwether; the cute, cuddely helper who is secretly the badguy. Come on Disney, in the end the only reason Judy was saved is because a fox used a trick! I liked how in the end Flash is actually really fast, that one caught me completely off guard and had me laughing out loud. Again, the individual parts about the moral; discrimination and rascism, are great, but it doesn't ad up as a whole.

The best part about the film were the visual gags and the storyparts. There was so much to be seen in the background, like a group of scouts, an apple campaign, lots of animal puns and so much detail. (Nick trying to eat a tiny cake.) I loved the little refrences they made, like Duke Weaselton (frozen), the dvd's the weasel sold, the breaking bad one. Loved it. The individual storyparts were really good as well. I loved Nicks flashback (I cried of course), the chasing scene and Judy's training complication. The repeated jokes were funny too and the Sloth scene worked way better in the film than in the trailer.

Everything combined was this a great movie. Just keep working on that storyline Disney. You're beginning to repeat yourself. (Like with big hero 6.) Loved the detail, loved the jokes, loved it all. Well done Disney! I give this a 9 pawsicles out of 10.
