This is one of the movies that everyone forgets to easily. I think it deserves more respect. Mostly because I'm pretty much the only one who absolutely adores this movie. I can just watch it over and over again and I just cry every time. It's a shame this movie is so short, but lukily we've got a sequel! I don't like the sequel as much as the first movie, but it's still one of the only Disney sequels I actually like (I like the rescuers down under too). So please gods of Disney, please don't ruin all the upcoming sequels. I hope Alice trough the looking glass, Frozen 2 and all the others won't let me down like all the others.

(You can skip this if you alreay now the story.)Well, for starters and for people who forgot the movie: It's about a man, Kenai is his name, turning into a bear. Kenai got a bear totem as spiritanimal, which stands for love, but he wanted something more impressive. He wants to show what he's really worth by hunting down a bear who stole his fish. (Yeah, it's kinda vague.) His brothers, Denahi and Sitka, try to convince him not to go, but he does it anyway and ends up almost getting himself killed. Then his brothers jump in and Sitka sacrifises himself in order to save Kenai, but the bear escapes. Kenai wants revenge on the bear and begans hunting him down again. He eventually kills her, but then transforms into a bear by the northern lights (which are actually spirits) to learn from his mistakes and to see the world through a bears eyes. The only way to go back to normal is to ask his brothers spirit for forgiveness, but in order to do that he first have to find his spirit. On his journey meets he a lot of different animals, including Koda; a little bear, who is later revealed being the kid of the bear Kenai killed. Everything is going smoothly, but there is one problem... Denahi thinks that Kenai is the bear who killed Sitka and he also thinks kenai was killed too, so he wants revenge and hunts Kenai and Koda down. I'm not going to spoil the end, but I can tell you that it is really good and that I cry every time I see it. About the sequel: Nah, it's just a basic love-story, but it's still really fun to watch.

The film itself is pretty short; around 85 minutes long, but boy is it good. It played with my emotion like only disneyfilms and cartoons can do, so good job! Koda is just adorable and he just reminds me so much of my brother; irritating, yet lovable. The mooses are a really good comic relief and their chemistry is just perfect. They're just the perfect combination of clumpsy and goofy. They're like chip and dale, but I think I like them even better. The stereotypical bears are kinda fun too, but not as much as the moose brothers. That's not the only good brother relationship in this movie -no I don't mean the relationship between Kenai, Denahi and Sitka- I mean the one between Koda and Kenai. I simply love the nature and animals in this movie and it just totaly gives you this North-American feel instantly. Next to that, you have this nature religion with spirit animals and totems and stuff and you can see that this tribe has a really strong connection with nature, which I like. O yeah, last but not least; I'm on my way. This song gives me such a warm feeling. It's like a roadtrip song, but it still gives you the feeling that you're at home. Most songs from this movie aren't that impressive, but this one just stands out.
