I saw finding Dory this week and it was amazing. I almost cried and laughed way harder than I should have. I got to see it in the original language, so that means I can Also judge it on voice-acting this time. Lets get started!

Lets start with the elephant in the room and perhaps the most important aspect: the animation. Not that there is much to say about it. It really got an upgrade, Especially with the effects. I red that they even went as far as to develope a new technigue for sand. It still looked like the first film, but the animation was way better. Some parts even looked like they could have been real.

On the voice-acting part they did a good job; they managed to cast Ellen and some great comedians. Even Nemo was really well recasted. His voice sounded just right for the Age Nemo should be in. The voices for the background/supporting character were also pretty good. Although I would have liked it if Gerald the weirdlooking sealion had had a voice too. The only voice that I didn't really like was the voice of Marlin.

Normally I go over the characters and story seperately, but today I'm too lazy for that. You can probably guess that I love the characters. They all have their own dissabilities and problems. That is great since you can have every character react differently to a situation. This can impact the situation you've created greatly by either making it funny or emotional. Finding Dory did this rather perfectly by using both situations to create the so called "rollercoaster of feelings. "

The premise didn't really seem that special to me, but it was well portrayed and the little flashbacks and sideplots worked well. It was a little cliché (you can do everything if you Believe in yourself) , but it was a good message. Especially for children with disabilities watching it. They got away with the lack of plot, so I forgive them. I liked the original better, but that often tends to be the case so don't mind it too much.

I hope I didn't spoil too much. Finding Dory is a pretty good movie, despite being a sequal. It's not as good as zootopia, but it's worth checking out. Also, Let me give you a tip before I go; sit out the entire credits and you'll get a little surprise.  It probably was the funniest thing in the entire movie and everyone except for me and my friend missed it, because they had left the theater already.

P.S. wasn't baby Dory just the cutest?
