Why does the English language have useless words?

You know what's weird about the word, "indescribable"? It's an adjective. Though the meaning of the word is:

Indefinite to be adequately described

And an adjective is a describing word. So if you describe something as indescribable, you're still describing it. That's like saying that someone is doing nothing. However, it's physically impossible to do nothing. Not only is it impossible, you're still doing something if you're doing nothing.
