Before you read what's below, I ask that you watch this video first, and tell me your thoughts about it (if you wish to share).
Down below is a rant about my dad, ignorance, and other small things, so if you don't wish to continue reading, please skip this chapter.
This is your last warning...
Still here? Okidoke then.
Let the rant begin.
My dad came home while I was watching this, and he asked me what I was listening to. I told him about it, and also included the fact that I'm pro-abortion. So he asked me why, and I told him why, and, as always - being the ignorant person he is - he disagreed with me. I tried to get him to watch the video, hoping that I'd be able to educate him and change his mind about abortion, but his stubbornness jumped in (which is the thing I hate the most about an ignorant person).
I don't know about you guys, but for me, it really bothers me when someone refuses to hear the other side of a story. Not just like, "Wow, look at you, being all superior," but like, "Are you serious? You're unbelievable." It just tugs at a very sensitive nerve of mine.
It's one thing to be so damn ignorant (like my dad), but it's another thing to be so stubborn that you refuse to believe anyone else's point of view except for yours.
In a way, this situation also happened on Tuesday, when I was at the library with squad. I was chilling with my main home boys (sorry not sorry xD) Jason and Johnny, scrolling through the ecchi feed on iFunny (yes, I'm a loli who's into loli shit, don't question me). This one kid (we'll call him Turtle) came up behind us and said something like, "Get back to work, boys."
(We finished our Civil Rights Movement unit in school last quarter, and now - in the middle of fourth quarter - guys were still calling each other, "boys" and acting like they were each others' slaves in a cotton field. I don't know why, but I guess they think it's funny and cool. *eye roll*)
Anyway, being called a boy, my feminism took action. I told him I was a girl, to which he replied, "So? You're lesbian. It's the same thing." (I had come out to the school that I was bisexual probably a month or two ago. However, I told some people that I was lesbian - which, of course, isn't a lie.)
I swear if I didn't have my main home boys to hold me back (sorry not sorry again trolololol), I would've slapped that ignorant shit out of his head.
BECAUSE AIN'T NOBODY GONNA OFFEND MY SEXUALITY (or get in the way of my ecchi time) *hair flip*.
Yeah, so, to sum it all up:
Dear Ignorant Ones,
Please, I beg you, open your brains, eyes, and heart, when being confronted with an opinion to which you firmly disagree with.
Or, in simpler terms: don't be a stubborn bitch. You can save yourself from a lot of hate that way. :)
Sincerely,
AliceAlright that's the end of the rant.
Have a bearable rest of your Thursday, everyone! Friday shall arrive momentarily.
