Do the Internet a Favor

Please? •ω•

Ok my turn to rant (I won't have much to say though because Lilly pretty much 100% covered it):

You know those people at school who are goddamn thirsty for attention? What do you do?

a) Give them the attention they want (be nice).

b) Give them the attention they want (be mean).

c) Don't give them any attention (respectfully or just straight up ignore).

d) Lecture them on their behavior.

I figure that most would probably just ignore the person. What I don't understand, however, is why we don't ignore the same people on the internet?

I understand that it's very tempting to give a person a piece of their own awful cooking, or to just lecture them, but as much as you think that helps, it really doesn't. Why? Well, because you're giving them what they want: attention.

I bet that 80% of issues on the internet would be solved if everyone didn't bother with attention-thirsty people. You don't fight a fire with more fire; you fight it by leaving it be (I know that's not how it works in reality but just deal). Eventually, said fire will starve itself.

Let's be honest with ourselves: we can use our time for much more enjoyable activities than just wasting it by attempting to teach attention-thirsty people a lesson. If you leave said person alone, then the lesson is sure to teach itself.

So, please, don't put yourself in a situation where you're likely to feed the fire. Just like Lilly said herself: "Common sense solutions."

Thank you for taking the time to read my rant which is pretty much pointless because of the video I added but whatever. I hope my point got across.
