Ye, so we were homies back in the early days of this book, right?
Ya, and then high school came around. We had no classes together, and also due to the homework load, we drifted apart and didn't really get to talk much anymore.
So today was the first day of finals. After I finished those finals, I went to the lobby to wait for my mom to pick me up, because I wasn't patient enough to wait for the bus today. I ran into an old acquaintance of mine in that crowded room. We chatted about life and finals, and then I see mah homie with some peeps from our squad.
I say to my acquaintance, "That moment when you see old friends from Jr. High but you're too shy to go up to them."
She helped me gather enough courage to go over and talk with them, and
omg
the first thing he said to me
made my day
"Alice! Hey, what's up? I don't have any classes with you this year. We haven't talked in a while."
He got me like "my longest yeah boi ever":
