Imma internally cry for the rest of the school year, because I had a feeling from the very beginning that this would happen (but who the hell am I to tell a teacher that she can't teach at this school, right?).
Mrs. L, one of the eighth grade science teachers at our school, is everyone's favorite teacher (not sure about the lower grades, but eighth grade for sure). She was unique compared to all the other teachers that we had. She didn't have a structured class; she was very engaging and interactive with her students. I think her uniqueness, in a way, was what led her to resign.
Based on the description I've given her so far, does she sound like the kind of teacher that you'd be close friends with? Well, yes, of course. Not saying that being friends with her was a bad decision, but it was hard not to. There wasn't a single eighth grader in our school that wasn't friends with Mrs. L; therein lies the issue.
Because of everyone's attitude in her presence, no one was able to take her seriously. From what I've heard, this is true for all of her classes, but if anyone is at the biggest fault, it's her advanced science class (her class which includes JohnWilliams456 and me).
Yesterday's class was like every other class we had with her: nonstop talking every two minutes. When she gave us a lecture about our behavior near the end of class, still, no one really listened to her. I heard that after our class was dismissed, she broke down; a soul to be pitied, indeed.
Throughout the school year, Mrs. L gave our class unconditional love (which graced my heart in a way I can't describe, despite my talent with words). In every lecture, she'd praise us about our intellectuality; she could have conversations with us that she only ever had with other adults. At every school meeting she attended, she stood up for our class against all of our other teachers. After spring break, she told us (this applies to her other classes as well) that she couldn't survive the week without our usual rowdiness (she literally went out with (don't remember who) just to start a pointless argument xD). To put it in Johnny's words: "She wants it both ways, but she knows it's wrong... she enjoys it until we can't stop."
So yeah...
She's gonna stay until the end of the year, but it's gonna be really tough for everyone.
(420 words... ha, I think I'll stay sober).
