Y'all remember my beloved science teacher that resigned? (If you need a refresher go back to this chapter: ;;-;;)
This is the person that I'm taking a moment to appreciate right now.
Lately I've been a bit stressed about geometry and English. Geometry because I have no clue what's happening and I have a solid D (I'm so sorry for those of you who are stuck in the gutter) in my class, and English because I now realize that without annotating it's actually a bit difficult to go back and review for the quiz because I also don't understand what's going on there.
I'm also a bit down about AP History because my class bombed the recent quiz (not in the good way) and I could tell that Mrs. Bae wasn't happy about it.
Usually my way of relieving stress is to write, but I haven't been able to because of my work load keeping me away from my freetime.
So here I am, sitting on my bed, ready to do my biology homework after going all OCD on my handwriting for the notes I wrote as review for the English quiz.
I take out the homework (which was a pedigree, in case you were wondering; we're almost through with our genetics unit) and fly through it.
Yes, it was easy, but that's what made it so relaxing, which in turn made me calm down.
It was relieving to finally do something that I already knew how to do well from past experience.
And this is the appreciation part (not that I hadn't already appreciated Mrs. L, don't worry):
Before her class, I already enjoyed science, thanks to my 7th grade science teacher (who was also thebomb.com), but that was all it was: just an enjoyment for it.
Then, when Mrs. L came along, my enjoyment blossomed into love. Learning science was more than just me learning: it was me relaxing, unwinding, having a chance to breathe.
Of course, that unwinding is what caused the daily chaos in her class, which ultimately caused her to resign, but I still appreciate her for all the efforts she did for us.
And I'll let her know right know (which is much more preferable than doing geometry hw).
I hope I inspired you to appreciate a teacher of yours, too.
Probably should've saved this for Teacher Appreciation Day but that's basically everyday for me.
