My old squad was like a second family for me. A family of misfits, if I may. We weren't some huge clique or anything. We were like a bag of trail mix (except with more candies x3).

So whenever we all hung out at the library together, it was a lot of fun (as you can probably tell from the much older chapters in this book). But now we're all broken up. I mean, I know that some members of the squad still stuck with each other, but we weren't in the trail mix bag anymore (ye some idiot spilled us while he was hiking xD); we were all spread out from each other.

I think it's a good thing that we spread out, though. At the beginning of highschool, our Skype chat was really dying. It was pretty much just Rei posting stuff and other people trying to leave the chat, only to get pulled back in (because of course there's no escaping hell xP). Since our group was very diverse (not only race-wise but also opinion-wise), the death of our squad was inevitable.

The last time I went to the library to hang out with friends was a couple months ago on a weekend, and it was just with Shota and Fili-Jap. We played Monopoly, but of course Monopoly is a long-ass boardgame, so we didn't finish. I was the first to leave, and when I left, they both left after me. They were only friends with me, and they weren't really friends with each other, so there wasn't a reason for them to stay together in the library.

Anyway yeah that was my point for this chapter: less connected-ness.
