Chapter 13
Demi's POV
Today's interview was a disaster. I'm pretty sure the whole world saw me have an emotional breakdown and Simon raging like the Hulk. I'm scared to even show my face for the next few days. Not to mention that Wilmer's probably getting a kick out of this. A quiet knock on the bedroom door gets my attention. Simon walks down and gently sits beside me.
"Demi I don't even know where to begin. I know how I behaved was beyond disgusting, but I couldn't help it. I won't stand for anyone talking down to you like that. That's the only thing I have to apologize for though. Though more importantly, how are you feeling?" I shrug, not wanting to speak because I'm afraid that if I do, I'll start crying again. Today just brought back some horrible memories.
"That's okay Demi. We can talk about if and when you want to. But for now, I'm going to lie with you in this bed, grant any requests you may have, and just hold you. You can try to squirm out of my clamy, old hands, but it won't work. You are going to get the rest you deserve." He kisses my forehead. "I love you my queen." I whisper "I love you too" and immediately drift off to sleep.
