They drove the rest of the way, the officer in his car honked and waved and drove past them.
"I swear," Nathan said, "you could be a serial killer in L-A but as long as you've been on TV, no one will point a finger at you."
"Huh," Stana gasped, "you've got a point there."
Stana's POV
We kept driving, I flipped on the radio, and accidentally just turned the seat warmers on, oops. Nathan seems almost too real to me, in a good way, but a surprising one too, he picks up on things that others would dismiss as average, maybe it's the fame, but he seems so down to earth, and the thing with Kris, he seems to understand my pain too well.Nathan's POV
I'm glad me and Stana got together, just unhappy it was under these circumstances, I'm trying to understand what she is going through? But after all these years...I just can't really, I hope she still wants to be with me."If I could fly... I'd be coming right back home to you... I think I might..." The radio played.
"Pay attention I hope you listen, cause I let my guard down, now I'm completely defenseless..." Nathan sang along.
"For your eyes only..." Stana tuned in. "I'll show you my heart, for when you lonely, and forget who you are...I'm missing half of me...when we're apart..." She continued.
They both smiled, listening to the radio, they didn't care what the music was, the others voice was music to their ears.
"You have an amazing voice," Nathan spoke.
"Thanks," Stana said, shyly, "you too."
Nathan grinned from ear to ear, making his whole face shape to his happiness, Stana smiled as well.
"Now, I say something from our time on the radio," Stana said.
She flicked with the radio, "seat warmers again." Nathan chucked.
Stana looked at him dramatically, and laughed at herself.
"This one," Nathan said, turning a nob.
"Oh," she said, relieved.
"Pretending I'm a superman!" The radio blared, and then a chorus of tune without lyrics, then it whipped to the next song.
"Now this is more my style," Stana said, she really felt like a teenager, because of this, for the first time in a while, Kris seemed like he didn't exist to Stana.
"That silly school boy crush...wasn't just pretend!" The radio tuned.
"Ah, Social Destruction, their song story of my life?" Nathan spoke.
"Yep," Stana said, rolling down her window. She flipped at the dials on his car radio, and managed to turn it up a little, "first try!" She exclaimed with glee. Stana rolled her window down fully, and stuck her head out so the wind could hit her face, it took twenty seconds or so to adjust her breathing, and once she decided to not care about her hair, she went with the flow.
"Wooo!" Nathan yelled.
"Woooo!" Stana called back.
Nathan turned up the radio a bit more, to here their song, if not Young Volcanoes, this would be their song, something they could cruise to, and agree that it was a favorite.
"Punk is not dead!" Nathan yelled.
Stana turned to him, her head still out the window. "You said is babe!"
"Never get boring!?" Nathan asked.
"Never! Wooo!" She replied.
Nathan had a battle with his eyes, they managed to focus on the road, but he would look at Stana every once in a while, they both felt like twenty year olds again, it was amazing, her hair blowing in the wind, his grip firmly on the wheel his eyes wandering every so often to her, and the radio playing songs that made you want to stomp and clap to the beat.
Nathan kept driving, and was almost sad when he had to park the car, Stana looked at him.
"This should be our weekend thing," she offered.
"Yeah!" Nathan said happily.
He got out of the car, and went to open Stana's door and help her out, while offering his hand, Stana took his arm, and lead herself out. Nathan shut the car door, and followed after her.
Nathan stood on the door mat, and a computerized speakers blared out: pass word please
"How does it do that?" Stana asked.
"I programmed it, it responds to only certain voices, I programmed it with my voice, and got a recording of yours," Nathan explained, blushing about how he recorded her.
"Seriously?" Stana said.
"Yeah, so no fans can creep in."
"But couldn't they just get a recording of your voice? Then go in?"
"Nope, fingerprint enabled as well, the door won't open unless it has fingerprints on it, only mine and yours."
"Why mine?"
"Because, I always knew," Nathan spoke, "always knew that we would be together one day, and I wanted to be prepared."
"Wow," Stana said, coming closer to him for a kiss.
Pass word hint: castle character the computer voice spoke again, it sounded like the a male Australian Siri, except a bit more computerized.
"Richard Castle," Nathan spoke.
Stana smiled, as a kid she had never expected this, but it was any grade school girls dream. She was a successful actress, that can use her fame for almost anything she wants, she has an actor boyfriend, and they have a fairytale romance, she uses futuristic gadgets and between the two of them they have enough money to leave their American lives and go anywhere they want, any time.
No one looks at the darker side of it, Kris tried to kidnap her, and did. He abused her, to the point where her only option was to leave. She might always have the unsettling feeling somewhere in her, put she decided she needed to put that out of her head, so that the pain could replace its self with something- anything else.
"I'll call for the pizza," Stana offered.
"Cool, what do you want on it?"
"Four cheese, you?"
"Sounds good, and add a six pack of Pepsi? Please!" Nathan said like a toddler.
"Alright," Stana said, dialing the number she found online.
