It was nice while it lasted

Annie's POV
As we both pulled away. We both smiled at each other and looked back at the night sky. "Brennan, Annie!, Come inside its time to eat!". Brennan's mom yelled. We both walk back inside, Brennan opened the door for me. "Thank you". I said while smiling and walking in. We made our plates and sat down by the dining table. Katie gives me a look and smiled as I sat next to Brennan. I smiled back at her. When we finished eating we all went into the living room and played truth or dare. Katie was first.

Katie's POV
"Okay umm...Brennan! truth or dare?". I asked. "Um...truth". He said while looking around. "Is it true that you and Liv dated last summer?". Annie looked at Brennan. "What, where did you get that from?". He asked confused. I look at Annie with a weird look. "Liv told me that you two dated last summer but you broke up with her because you didn't have time for a relationship". Brennan gives me a look. "That never happened, I would never go out with her. That's just gross". Brennan said with a disgusted look. Me and Annie look at each other confused. "Did Liv lie to me so that she could get away with what she did?". I thought to myself.

Brennan's POV
"Okay Brennan your turn". Katie said. "Pass". I said. "Yeah me too". Annie said. Katie gives me and Annie a look. "Why not?". She asked. "Eh". Annie said while laughing a little. "Fine I'll go again!". Katie said with excitement. "Annie truth or dare?".  "Hmm...dare". She said nervously. "I dare you too kiss your crush on the cheek!". Katie said while smiling at me and Annie. I give Katie a look. Katie gives me a look back but smiles. As Annie started to lean in my mom yells, "Come get some brownies kids!". We all ran and ate our brownies. "Im gonna see what Ryan and Haley are doing". Katie said while running to the room. "Annie you want to try blow up glow in the dark balloons with me?". I asked. "Yeah!". She said while standing up. We both go outside and feel a little bit rain drops. "Eh it's probably light showers". I say while talking out the balloons. We start to blow up our balloons and tie them until there was all of a sudden a loud thunder clap. Annie looks at me with a scared look. She doesn't like thunderstorms. "Brennan can we please go inside!". She says while starting to get scared. "Okay, let's go". We both try to run back into the house. Annie was struggling because she had her crutches on. As it started to rain harder there was another loud roar of thunder. "Brennan we really need to hurry up". Annie says while starting to tear up of fear. As I remembered the dog chain was out. "Annie watch out for the dog chain".  I said while looking back. "The what?". Annie says while looking around. I then heard a loud thump and the dog chain move. I turned around and see Annie on the ground not moving. "ANNIE!".
