Brennan's POV
The next day mom registered Katie and I into the same school as Annie and Hayley goes too.

As I was walking to class I saw Annie and some boy walking with her to class. He was holding her books until he dropped her off to class, which was actually the same class I had.

I sat by the desk next to her and she looked at me with a surprised look.

"Brennan? you go to this school now?". She asked while opening up her books.

"Yeah, it's Katie's and I first day over here".

"Oh, cool". She smiled and looked down.

The rest of class was silence between Annie and I. When the bell rung she quickly grabbed her books and shoved it in her bag.

"Bye Brennan". She said as she quickly ran off like she had somewhere to be.

"Bye Annie.." I said while I stood up.

I looked out the door to see Annie hugging Katie and the same boy that was walking her to class standing by her.

"I wish I was still the reason for her smile".  I thought to myself as I walked to my next class.

When school ended, I caught up with Katie when she was walking to the parking lot where mom was waiting.

"Katie, I have to ask you a question".

"What?".

"Who is that boy? the one that's always hanging out with Annie?".

"Oh, his name is Cody, he hangs out with her a lot because he likes her". Katie said while getting into the car.

"That makes sense". I thought to myself.

When we arrived at home I decided I wanted to go to the park.

I rode my bike there and I took a walk to the dock.

"This is where I first told Annie that I love her.." I said to myself.

I started to tear up just thinking about all the memories I had with her. Our first kiss, our emotional moments, our funny moments, the first time we held hands. All those moments were simply amazing. Those were the moments I'm going to cherish forever.

I wish I could take back what I did in California but I can't. The moments I had with Lexy doesn't even compare to the moments I had with Annie.

"How could I be so stupid?". I asked myself.

I wiped away my tears and walked away.

As I walked past the benches I saw Annie and Cody sitting with each other. He was trying to kiss her but she was trying to pull away from him.

I ran as fast as I could and pushed Cody away from Annie. She quickly stood up and held my arm.

"Dude what is your problem?!" Cody asked while standing up.

"Stay away from her!". I yelled while pulling Annie closer to me.

"Or what?". He asked snapping back at me.

"You don't know what's coming for you if you do".
I grabbed Annie's hand and walked away.

"Are you okay Annie?". I asked while I stopped walking.

She nodded her head and looked at me with a little smile.
"I'm fine, thank you Brennan".

She was still holding onto my hand. I pulled her closer to me and gave her a hug.

Annie's POV
Brennan pulled me into a hug and I let him. I wrapped my arms around him and buried my face into his chest.

I felt so safe in his arms. I honestly missed this feeling of being loved and being happy.

We both pulled away and looked at each other like the way we used to. I could feel my heart skipping a beat like it used to before.

"So um, I'll see you later ok? Let me know if you need anything. I'm here for you, always". He said with a smile as he let go of my hands and went onto his bike.

"Thanks Brennan, I Lo-". I stopped myself before realizing what I was about to say. He looked at me with a smile before leaving.

"I can't believe it...I am still completely in love with him".
