can't beat this feeling

Annie's POV

Brennan and I quickly snook out of school and ran to his car.

"So what are we going to do now?". I asked while putting on my seat belt.

"Let's have a picnic". He suggested.

"Sure!". I said out of excitement, making Brennan laugh.

We drove to the store to pick up some stuff for the picnic then we drove down to St Charles Park.

"So you haven't been to St Charles park before?". Brennan asked.

"Nope. surprising huh?". I asked laughing.

"It's very surprising". He said chuckling.

We pulled in and found a spot. We set up our blanket on a hill that had a view of the whole town. It was spectacular.

"This..is so awesome". I said with a big smile.

"I knew you would've liked it". Brennan said while sitting next to me.

We both talked to each other for a good half an hour until Brennan had an idea for us to go swimming.

"Brennan I don't have my swimsuit with me".

"You don't?". Brennan said while walking to the car.

"Nope".

He then came walking back to me while holding up a two piece bathing suit.

"Now you do". Brennan said while handing it over to me and smirking.

"How convenient, I'll go get changed". I said while walking to the bathroom.

After I got changed Brennan and I walked to the lake.  But when we got there, instead of it being a lake, it was a big wide open spot with a pond and a little waterfall going into the pond. 

"Woah...can this place get any better". I said surprised.

"It's cool isn't it?". Brennan said while setting his stuff down and taking off his shirt.

"Wait, were going to jump in?".
My eyes widened.

"Well yeah, why not?".

"Are you crazy?". I giggled

"C'mon Annie you should know me by now, I do the unpredictable. Are you coming or not?".

"I suppose". I said while walking towards him and grabbing his hand.

We held hands and stood close together.

Brennan's POV

"Okay, ready...set...go..!". I yelled.

We both jumped and landed into the water still holding hands.

"Oh my gosh! that is cold!!". Annie yelled while holding onto me.

"C'mon don't be a wimp". I said while laughing.

She gasped and splashed me,
"I am not a wimp!".

"Yes you are".

"No I'm not".

"Yes".

"No".

"Yes".

"Am Not!". She said as she chased after me while giggling.

"Okay fine, fine! your not a wimp". I said as I hugged her.

"That's what I thought". She smiled.

"Let's go for a swim". I said as I took her hand.

"Okay".

We went under water and swam to underneath the little waterfall,
We both came up for air and smiled at each other.

"This is so beautiful". Annie said while looking around.

I smirked and pulled her closer,
"Not as beautiful as you".

I leaned in and kissed her, She did the same as she put her arms around my neck.
It was going fine until we heard a door slam.

We both quickly pulled away and looked around.
"What was that?". Annie asked in a nervous tone.

"I'm sure it was nothing". I said trying to calm her down.

I leaned in to her again and there was another door slamming, But this time someone was actually there.

"Hey you kids! Didn't you here? This is private property! I'm going to call the police!". An old man said while walking towards the pond and grabbing out his phone.

"C'mon let's go now!". I said while quickly taking Annie's hand and swimming to the steps so we could make a run for it.

As we both got out of the pond we grabbed our stuff and ran back to the car with the old man still slowly chasing after us.

We got into the car and we drove off right before he was about to reach us.

I looked at Annie and she looked frightened,
"I'm so sorry Annie, I had no idea that place was owned by someone".

"No don't be, that was the best thing I've ever experienced thanks to you". Annie said happily.

"Oh, you thought that was fun? I thought you were going to be mad about how that ended". I said with a relieved smile.

"No way! I could literally feel my heart beating out of my chest with so much excitement".

"Hmm maybe we should do that more often then". I said grinning.

"Maybe we should. This was so much fun, Thank you Brennan". She said while kissing me on my cheek.

I wrapped my arm around her and kissed her cheek,
"Of course, anything for you princess.

Hi guys so i decided to update today because I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to update any of my books tomorrow because I have to do something at my school for a performance and it's my birthday tomorrow (May 1st) and I'm finally going to be 14😊 so yeah. If I do have spare time then I will definitely update. Thank you for continuing to read Brannie,  Ily all! 💗
