Brennan's POV
"So Annie, I was wondering if you were okay..." not noticing how puzzled I sounded. "oh, im okay, just a little sad that's all". she said with a little smile.

"oh okay, I just wanted to tell you that im always gonna be here for you, and that if you ever need anyone to talk to, you'll always have me". I said looking at her with a smile. I scooted closer too her. She looked at me and smiled.

"Thank you Brennan, I'm really sorry that we drifted apart when the whole brannie situation started". She looked down. I placed my hand on hers softly and looked at her, "it's alright annie, it's all good." I said.

She smiled and looked back at me. I began to lean into kiss her, she slowly closed her eyes. As we were about to kiss , mr billy walks in and opens the door. "everything okay over here? , what's going on?".

Annie looks away. "we were just talking" I said. "well okay, come downstairs for some dinner, we're having baked potatoes." He said while walking down the hall. "Ready to go?" I asked.

Annie POV
"yeah, let's go" I answered. As we walked down the hall, I was wondering, did that really just almost happen? I almost had my first kiss with one of my close friends that I've drifted apart from and we only reconnected today.

I thought about it more and more. then I asked myself, I wonder if he knows that I've had a crush on him for awhile.

As we got to the dinner table Brennan saved me a seat next to him and we began to eat.

Livs POV
I looked from across the table and see brennan and annie sitting next to each other and laughing.

Why are they sitting next to each other? I thought. I'm supposed to be the one sitting next to brennan, not annie.
