Brennan's POV
I walked away with Annie still in my arms, the left side of her cheek was red.

I started to walk a little more faster because it was past 1:00 and we all had to be back by 2:15.

"Brennan?". Annie asked while opening her eyes a little.

Annie's POV
"Yes Princess? are you okay?". He asked while lightly touching my cheek.

I nodded my head and flinched a little as he touched my cheek.

"Oh, sorry".

"It's okay, I think I'm fine to walk now. Thanks Brennan".
I kissed his cheek as he set me down.

He held my hand and we slowly walked back to the playground where everyone was because I had trouble walking.

As we approached the playground everyone was still there. Sydney and Arden were on the swings and Katie, Ryan and Luke were playing tag.

"Hi guys, where have you guys been? I-". Katie didn't finish her sentence when she saw my cheek.

"Annie? what happened to your cheek? She said while cupping her hands over her mouth.

Brennan and I looked at each other and looked back at Katie.
Brennan began to speak.

"We were walking then we heard footsteps behind us and it was Liv. She slapped Annie".

"Are you serious?". Katie said as her eyes widened.

I nodded my head and Sydney and Arden came running up to us asking what was wrong.

Katie whispered it to them since their were other people around and since Ryan was nearby because he would have told my mom and Mrs Jill everything.

"Hey Guys, we should get heading back". Luke said while motioning us to follow them.

"Okay!". Arden yelled

"Wait! Guys!, what am I going to tell my parents and Hayley if they ask what happened?".

"Just tell them you tripped over the curb or something". Sydney said.

I nodded my head and we headed back to the restaurant where everyone was waiting for us.

"Okay kids ready to go? Everyone's going to come over for a swim in the lake and for barbecue". My mom said while putting her phone in her purse.

"Yay!" Everyone said in excitement.

I looked at Brennan and he looked at me and smiled.

"I'll see you in a little while beautiful".
He kissed my head and looked at me once more and smiled then walked away with his mom.

I walked with my parents to the car and we drove home.

When we got home I got dressed into my bathing suit and put on my shorts and shirt over the bathing suit. As I got done I walked back into the living room and sat down. Mom then came walking from the kitchen.

"So...Annie today might be the last time were going to see Mrs Jill and her family since they leave in 3 days.."

"Oh..., is that why we're doing all of this?". I asked while looking down.

She nodded her head and sat down next to me.
"I know how much Brennan and Katie means to you that's why and, I just want you to spend as much time as you can with them before they leave".

I nodded my head slowly and moved my hair out of my face.

"Yeah well, I was actually going to let you invite some people over for tonight. Who do you want to invite Annie?".

I looked up at her and thought about it.
"I want to invite, Sydney and Luke, Arden, Katie guys, Amanda, Emily and Hayley can invite some friends over too".

She nodded her head and looked at me like I was forgetting something.

"What about Liv?".

"Oh, no mom..."

"Why not? You guys are best friends".

"You mean we used to be best friends".

"Annie cmon, it's just for one night".

(I really didn't want Liv to come because then she would cause so much problems and it would just turn into a disaster. If I invite her then it will
be just terrible but if I don't invite her my mom will become suspicious...What should I do?)
