Plot: Hiccup and Merida are ten year olds playing and the time period than shifts to when they're 16.
Setting: Berk
"I am Merida! Mighty warrior here to defeat the dragon." Merida yelled.
"Why do I always have to be the dragon?." Little Hiccup asked.
"I thought you like being the dragon." She said.
"Well I did, but Merida you hit me with the wooden sword really hard!" He complained.
"Oh quit whining a dragon has thick skin he is strong. Except not stronger than my mighty dagger!" Merida shouted hitting Hiccup a little more lightly with the sword.
"Uh oh!" He said he had lost his balance and fell right into the river.
The little ten year old looked up from beneath his Viking helmet that was two sizes too big. To see his friend right next to him in the river.
"How'd you get in here?" He asked.
"I jumped." She replied
"Why?"
"So I could do this." She laughed and began splashing him.
"Merida, Hiccup its time to come in!!" Yelled Hiccup's dad
"Race ya!" Merida shouted running with her friend close at her heels.
***6 years later****
"She's coming! Today?" Hiccup said to his father.
"Yes you two always played together when you were younger. It's been about six years things have been hectic here and at the castle but our old friends the DunBroch's are finally coming back for a visit." He said
"Dad we're not ten anymore she'll probably not even remember me or only want to do girly things now." Hiccup replied.
"Oh come on Hiccup have a little faith." Stoick said to his son.
Knock knock
"They're here!"
Stoick opened the door.
"Fergus old pal of mine how have you been!" He greeted.
"Ay just fine but I see you've put on a couple of pounds!" Fergus joked.
"And I see you've lost quite a bit!" Replied Stoick gesturing to the man's peg leg.
"Now where's that daughter of yours? Hiccup's happy to see her!"
"Here she is. She's been excited of seeing Hiccup too!"
Hiccup saw the teenage girl with fire locks of hair and the same bright smile she always had. But this girl was a little different. Hiccup had never been more nervous in his life.
"Hiccup!" She said excitingly and hugged him.
"Hey Merida! Long time no see!" He said awkwardly.
"You look different." She said.
"So do you, except that flaming head of hair." He smiled.
"What? Did you think I'd be bald?!" She laughed.
"Hiccup, you and Merida go have fun while me and Fergus catch up!" Stoick said.
The two teens went down to the river bank.
"Hey I remember this place we used to play the Dragon and the Warrior!" Merida exclaimed.
"Oh yeah I remember that, you always hit me hard with the sword and the one time you didn't I ended up falling into the river."
"Your fault for complaining." She said.
"Of course it's my fault, you never let me forget it." He smiled.
"Hey speaking of dragons would you like to meet Toothless?" Hiccup said.
"Oh yeah your dad told us how you trained dragons!! Sure I'd love to." She said.
"Toothless!" Hiccup yelled.
The black dragon peered over and came running towards the two.
"Hey boy, this is Merida. She's a friend of mine."
"Hey Toothless." She said.
"Hold on he's got his tail untucked" Hiccup said trying to fix the tail.
"Pst" Merida said to the dragon and motioned him to move his tail.
Toothless grinned and he picked Hiccup with his tail.
"Ah bad dragon put me down!" He said.
"You heard him Toothless!" Merida said smiling.
"Oh no." Hiccup said as the dragon lifted his tail over the river and dropped his rider right into it.
"Ah really?!" Hiccup yelled.
Splash!!
He turned his head and saw Merida once again in the river with him.
"Now what'd you do that for?" He said.
"So I could do this." She smiled and kissed him.
It came very unexpected to Hiccup.
"I gotta say I was expecting a splash to the face. But that was.....wow....." He stumbled.
"Oh don't worry I came in here to do that too" she said and splashed him.
"Oh you're going to pay for that one Mer." He said.
"You'll have to catch me first." She yelled and ran from the river with the Viking boy at her heels.
