Modern AU
Okay so this is the first Mericcup Drabble I didn't write. I found it on the Internet and I found it adorable its not word for word but the idea came from a fanfic website so here ya go.
Hiccup shuffles his feet in line next to his friend Rapunzel. "Is there Nything here that's not coffee?" Hiccup asked.
"Well there's tea." Rapunzel said.
"Even worse." He replied.
"Well it's way too cold for a frap so just get plain coffee." Rapunzel answered.
Finally they were at the register and a girl with flaming red hair was standing there waiting for their order.
"Hey Mer, I'll have an expresso and hiccup here will have some plain coffee." Rapunzel said.
"No problem, hey Hiccup your in my History class, do you remember if we had homework?" Merida asked
"Uh." Hiccup stumbled, the girl who he had been secretly liking all year was now talking to him. "Uh yeah pgs 312-314 answer some questions." He said
"Crap, I'll have to that tonight yay." She said sarcastically. "Thanks though."
"No problem." He said as he got his coffee. He took a sip. It tasted terrible.
'God I am not a coffee drinker' he thought.
But he kept coming every day. He started to get a hang of when Merida would be at work and every day he would come in and ask for the coffee that he hated just to get to talk to her. Then sit at the table and do homework or read a book.
One day he was running late from class. Her shift ended in 5 minutes! He ran towards the coffee shop but when he got there it was a pretty blonde working at the register.
"Hi, what would you like?" She said.
"Uh."
"It's okay Astrid, I got this one." Merida said dressed in her normal clothes instead of a uniform.
Hiccup smiled as she wrote his order down on the cup. He picked it up and sat down at his usual spot.
"Wow." He heard a familiar voice say from behind.
"You come in here everyday and order coffee, which I know you really don't like, just to catch me at my shift." Merida said taking a seat at the table.
"What makes you say that? I may just love coffee." He said nervously
"Uh huh I know you only take two sips and throw it out."
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Okay fine but don't waste your money on coffee you don't like when you can keep it and take me out on a nice date." She smiled .
Hiccup's eyes widened. "Uh yeah I guess you are right uh so would you like to go see a movie or something?"
"Pick me up at 8, bye Hiccup." She smiled and walked towards the door.
"Bye," Hiccup said still dazed.
