Chapter 43 - Questions

"Dear, we're here."

I woke up as soon as I heard it. I immediately went down the escalade and of course the state in front of me awed me as always. I can't believe that I'm back in our Main Rivera State.  I can't believe that I'm really back here in Paris.

Agad kaming pumasok nina Mommy at Daddy sa loob ng mansion. Lines of maids and butlers warmly welcomed us pero mas napagtuunan ko ng pansin ang presensya nina Mamita at Lolo. They were almost in tears as they greeted, "Welcome home!"

"Mamita! I missed you!" I shrieked.

"Mon Diue! Come here, Audriana. Mamita really missed you too!" sigaw ni Mamita at agad naman akong tumakbo para yakapin sya. Habang ngiting ngiti naman si Lolo na pinagmamasdan kami.

"We're back!" Mom and Dad greeted merrily as they sauntered towards us at saka nila niyakap ng mahigpit si Lolo.

"Maingay na naman ang bahay na ito dahil dumating na kayo." Lolo joked and we all laughed at him.

"Mas iingay pa ito Dad pag dating nila Taisha bukas." sagot naman ni Mommy kaya napailing na natawa si Lolo.

Mamita then gently let of me. "At ikaw na bata ka, you were only gone for several months tapos babalik ka dito kasi ikakasal ka na? I can't believe you! How can you do this to me!" she ranted as tears fell down her cheeks.

Agad akong nalungkot ng makita ko iyon. Alam ko naming hindi nya pa din matanggap gaya nila Mommy pero alam ko din naming nirerespeto nila ang desisyon ko. "I'm sorry, Mamita. But, you understand right?" I answered as I wiped her tears away.

She nodded at me in return. "Of course. Just promise me na hindi mo makakalimutan bumisita dito every year okay? Kung hindi ay magtatampo ako sa iyo."

"Of course! Hindi pupwedeng hindi!" I replied at niyakap ko sya ulit.

"Hindi mo nga makakalimutang bumisita dito pero nakalimutan mo ng may Lolo ka pa? You're hurting me, amour." banat ni Lolo. It made me laugh hard at agad din akong binitiwan ulit ni Mamita para hayaan na yakapin ko si Lolo.

"I would never hurt you, Lolo. As the saying goes, save the best for last! I'm just saving my best hug for you!" sagot ko rito saka naman ako nito niyakap ng sobrang higpit.

"So hindi pa ako ang the best for you ganun ba Audriana?" hirit ni Mamita.

"N-no! That's not what I meant, Mamita." I defended pero hindi ako binitawan ni Lolo.

"Wag ka nga! Leave us alone, oldie. We're having our moment here. Tapos na kayo!" Lolo replied and they started bantering. Tawa lang kami ng tawa nina Mommy at Daddy sa kanilang dalawa.

I really missed them. Kahit na wala akong ganung kagandang alaala sa Paris, I will never forget all those moments like this together with them and I will always admit how much I love and how lucky I am to be in this family. Add up the great genes? I wouldn't ask for more! Haha!

After all the welcomes earlier, we ate in feast dahil nagpahanda ng marami si Mamita. Pagtapos nun ay nagpaalam na ko para maunang magpahinga. They let me go naman at alam nilang pagod pa ko sa byahe kaya dumiretso na ako sa kwarto ko.

As I got in my room, I noticed that nothing changed. Siguro ay hindi talaga pinagalaw ni Mamita iyon 'cause she knows that I decorate my own room and I didn't let anyone, including Mom and her, to handle it.

I closed the door of my room at agad akong nahiga sa kama. I then closed my eyes and breathed for a while saka ko kinuha ang phone ko and checked if there's new messages from Xavier. Only to see that there's nothing aside from the devil twins and my friends messages so I decided to put it back down.
