Chapter 5

"Baby it's you~ You're the one I want, you're the one I need! You're the only one I see~ Come on, baby it's you! You're the one that gives your all, you're the one I can always call. When I need, you make everything stop, finally you put my love on top!"

"Hindi naman halatang masaya ka ano?" a familiar voice said behind me.

I got startled and immediately stopped from singing and dancing to turned around and see who just destroyed my momentum.

"What the, Mom!" Shit!

"May pakanta kanta ka na ngayon. Did anything happen aside from bringing home this cute pup?" Mom questioned smiling saka nya binuhat si Paris at naupo sa kama ko.

"Nothing." I answered with a smile and continued to brush my hair.

Katatapos ko lang mag-night bath and of course, di pa ko maka-move on sa nangyare kanina. It's that dummy's fault!

"Is it Chase?" Mom asked again.

And this time, upon hearing that guy's name, my smile turned wider.

"So it's Chase." Mom concluded. "Come on, spill it Audriana Celine. What happened?"

I was hesitant to tell her at first but knowing Mom, she'll just going to continue to ask me about it hanggang sa bumigay ako. She's always been like that.

I then put my brush down tapos tumabi ako kay Mommy sa kama.

"Kanina sa park, he sang Love on Top by Beyonce in front of a huge crowd! Can you believe that guy, Mom? I mean— it was sweet and all! But it was also really unexpected from him. I never thought he'll do such thing!" I happily exclaimed.

"Really? Love really does make people do something they haven't done before." sabi nya tapos bigla syang natawa as if she remembered something funny.

"You know, when your father and I started dating, we always fight about little things. We also had this little fight na napunta sa break up. Next days after that, dinala ako nila Tita Taisha mo sa isang 'concert' daw, yun pala concert ng Daddy mo." Kwento nya.

"Really!?" I asked totally surprised.

Sobrang sweet pala talaga ni Daddy noon pa. And up until now, sobrang sweet pa din ni Daddy kay Mommy.

"Yes, dear. He also sang in front of a huge crowd tapos nagsorry sya sakin. Wag ka, ako pa may kasalanan nun pero sya nag-sorry." She sneered proudly.

I scoffed, "My gosh, Mom! Then, what? Nagkabalikan kayo ni Dad?"

"Oo naman. Who am I to refuse? Nag-effort na nga aayaw pa ko? Tsaka madaming babae doon na nanunuod that time, e gwapo Daddy mo, mahirap na baka maagaw." sabi ulit ni Mom at nagtawanan kami.

"I agree Mom. Buti nalang si Daddy napangasawa mo. He's sweet, he's caring, he's everything that a girl can ask for! Plus, gwapo pa si Daddy. Kaya maganda ako e." natatawang sabi ko sa kanya.

"Did you have your dinner? Gutom ka pa yata, dear." Mom commented.

"Mommy naman e."

"Just kidding. But you're right, he's everything a girl can ask for." Mom said dreamily.
