"And to what to I owe this pleasure?" Jacob smiled as he sauntered over to her,

"Well, Charlie keeps badgering me to bring her in... So I thought we could grab lunch if you have time,"

He kissed her, "I have ten minutes before my shift ends and and I'll be with you,"

She sat on the sofa in Charlie and Ritas office, watching as Charlie held Jade gently,

"Ready babe?" Jacob smiled, before sitting down next to her on the sofa,

"We were wondering if you'd be godfather," Connie asked quietly, making Charlie smile,

"Id be so honoured," he replied, "thank you."

"Although you have to share the honour with Michael Spence,"Jacob smiled,

Charlie rolled his eyes, "and you allowed that? Jacob masters..."

Jacob laughed, "we became friends in Afghan, I can see what Connie saw in him,"

Connie laughed before scooping up her daughter, "this is information you don't need to listen to madam," she smiled as her daughter giggled,

"Go on, get out of here," Charlie smiled at them both,

"Come for dinner next week Charlie," Connie smiled,

"Do you ever rest,"

"No, she doesn't," Jacob answered for her,

Jacob sat watching her as she discretely fed their daughter. He wrapped his arm around her and kissed her temple softly as they sat overlooking the harbour,

"I don't think I'll ever get bored of watching the two if you together," he told her gently,

"When I first met you, I never expected you to be so gentle... And kind..." She told him, kissing his neck softly,

"Only for you sweet cheeks," he smiled,

She rolled her eyes, "who'd have thought that you and I would end up like this."

"Absolute mummy's girl you are," he smiled taking Jade from her arms and watching as she only settled once Connie ran her fingers over her face, "although I have to admit, I'm quite taken with her myself."

Connie turned to him and kissed his tenderly,  

"Just get me what is in my pocket please," he asked as she did so, her eyes not leaving his as she held a small box,

"Now open it," he smiled, his eyes sparkling as he watched her. 

"Jacob..."

"I can't think of a better time to show you how much I love you. Sitting here with you and our daughter has made me happier than I could ever imagine... I loved you since theoment I saw you... Will you marry  me? Say you'll spend the rest of your life as my wife?"

She looked from the ring and back to him, "yes,

Of course I will," she smiled, placing her hand on his cheek and kissing him so softly,

"What do you think Jadie?" She smiled, kissing her daughter watching as she laughed happily, 

"So you'll consider it?

"There's nothing to consider, I can't wait to be your wife and have the same name as my two favourite people in the world,"

Jacob squeezed her shoulder gently, kissing her temple. He placed Jade down before taking the ring box and slipping the ring onto her finger, "you're mine now, forever,"

"I've been yours since I met you," she smiled, "I can't wait to become Mrs Masters."
