-Carmen's POV-
Amari had stopped. I glanced over my shoulder to see what she was staring at, and realized that the aliens were fighting. Some of the warriors were a different shade of green than the ones that we had been running from just moments before the fight had broken out. We both watched, almost mesmerized by our surprise.
Something about the aliens that helped us seemed familiar. An image was on the brink of showing itself in my mind, recognition on the tip of my tongue. Then, I got a good look at one of them, and it was all too familiar. The image showed itself.
"Hey, remember that alien that was poking you earlier?" I asked Amari.
"Yeah, why do you a- wait." Her eyes had fallen on the same alien I was looking at. It was the very exact same shade of green as the first alien we had come across- the one that had been poking Amari- and it's eyes were the same. It's head was the same shape too, and it's arms. It looked identical to the alien. It had to be the same one!
"It's the same one..." Realization finally dawned on Amari. I nodded. "But why's it helping us?"
"Who knows? But they seem friendly, at the very least." I replied.
"Let's hope they stay that way." Amari added.
"Yeah, hopefully they do." I agreed. I still didn't want those weird little aliens touching me. They just felt strange. I didn't really know what to make of it.
I turned back to the alien fight, and Amari did the same. It looked to be almost over- most of the aliens had retreated at this point. Sure enough, I was right. It ended quickly after we had continued watching, and the alien we had noticed earlier lead the others away.
