(A/N: Trying to keep the order...)
-Carmen's POV-
As Dad lead us to the house we had been assigned so we could see Mom, I felt a hand on my arm.  I turned to see Amari with one hand wrapped around my arm, using the other hand to point at something.  I looked over to see two figures.

No way.

I could only see the silhouettes of the figures, but I got a feeling from them that I knew them.  I could practically sense who they were.  Amari and I exchanged a look.

"Are you sure it's them...?"  I asked.  I wasn't sure I believed my eyes- these eyes had to be playing tricks on me.  They had left us.  They weren't here.  But, as I squinted, I saw them approaching closer, and felt Amari tense beside me.

"Do you think they got lost?"  She questioned.

"No."  I replied.  Sapphire and Aya wouldn't get lost.  Aya was the one who had offered to guide us, certainly she could guide herself back to her camp, and maybe Sapphire back to hers.  They stopped before us.  I could see tears streaking Aya's face.

"What's wrong?"  Amari asked her, keeping her voice sounding gentle.

"Her camp got destroyed.  Some aliens followed us, and when we got to her camp, they attacked it.  She doesn't have a place to stay."  Sapphire explained.  "I would let her stay with me, but there's not any room left in my camp to house another person.  So, we were wondering..."

"M-Maybe I could s-stay with you guys?"  Aya finished.  Amari and I exchanged another look, each of us reading each other's faces for the answer.  Then, we both turned back to Aya.

"Yes."  We both answered her question in unison.  Aya's eyes lit up.

"Come on!"  Amari grabbed Aya's hand.  "We need to go tell Mom and Dad!"
