-Carmen's POV-
When we had finally calmed down, the aliens were looking at us like we were crazy.  Maybe we were.  I shrugged it off and we both turned to head back when one of the aliens jabbed Amari in the arm.  Amari and I both looked blankly at it.  What the heck was this... thing doing to my sister?

Amari nudged the alien away, and I could tell that she was just as confused by it's actions as I was.  When we turned away again, it grabbed her arm.  The look on Amari's face said she was beginning to lose her patience with the alien.

I walked over and pried the alien's green, bony hand off of Amari's pale arm.

"Let's go."  This time, I was the one who grabbed Amari's arm, leading her away.  Both of us walked in silence, trying to figure out what had just happened.  Finally, Amari spoke.

"That was kind of weird, wasn't it...?"  She asked.

"Yeah."  I agreed.

"I wonder what it was doing.  Maybe they've never seen humans before?"  Amari guessed.  "And it's not like we exactly fit in around here."  She added.  I nodded, agreeing with her once again.  It was almost like we could read each other's minds sometimes- we always seemed to know what the other one was thinking and feeling.

"That's probably true.  But I'd rather not have an alien checking my sister out, thank you very much."  I stated.

"Heh.  I can't say you're alone on that one.  I don't want an alien checking my sister out either- or me, for that matter."  She added.

"Very true."  I said.  There was another pause.  After a moment, something else struck me.

"Hey, Amari?"  I asked.  She turned to me, and I knew she was listening.  "How long do you think our oxygen tanks will last?"

"I'm really not sure, to be honest."  Amari admitted.  "Let's just hope they last long enough for us to find the camp again."
