-Carmen's POV-
"Hey, wait!"  I growled in annoyance as Sapphire called out to us.  There was something about her that just rubbed me the wrong way.

"What do you want?"  I snapped.

"I-I was gonna ask if I... maybe I could come with you?  You know, in case anything happens?"  She sounded more like she was asking it than saying it.

"N-"  I began, but Amari cut me off.

"Sure!"  She chirped.  "After all, the more, the merrier!"

"Yeah!"  Sapphire agreed.  I rolled my eyes and decided to humor the pair for now.  But, if Sapphire made one wrong move, she was dead to me.  So, the three of us started to march on, only for a certain someone to stop us.

"Wait!  My oxygen tanks!  I left them when I went over to you guys!"  Sapphire exclaimed.  "Uh, hang on!"  She rushed to go grab her oxygen tanks.

"Are you sure she's trustworthy?"  I muttered to Amari.

"Of course!  If we couldn't trust her, I would sense it.  You know that."  Amari insisted.  Sapphire just seemed too nice, if you asked me.  She was way too willing to help.  It was weird.

"She's too nice."  I stated.

"Yeah, exactly.  She's actually nice.  Give her a chance, Carmen."  I sighed.  Amari was so stubborn sometimes- it was almost impossible to argue with her.

"Fine.  But one screw up, and she's dead."  I growled.

"Alright then."  Amari replied.  A moment later, Sapphire returned to us.

"There, got my oxygen tanks!"  She informed us.  "We can go now, if you guys are ready!"

"I'm ready."  Amari stated.  "Are you, Carmen?"

"No."  I replied unkindly.

"Too bad.  Come on, let's go!"  It sounded like Sapphire's ambitiousness was already rubbing off on Amari.  I sighed.  This was going to be a long exploration.
